and how does that correct the impingement on the c8 nerve root? it'll only get worse if it isn't treated. not drinking won't redistribute load down the spine to offset degeneration and further impingement down the road, which will ultimately lead to surgery. the best way to keep that from happening is to get it adjusted.

So for the past two days I haven't been able to fully feel my right ring and pinky finger (I would say 85% of the sensation is there). To top it off, I have a mild migraine. Is this anything really serious? I will probably see a doctor soon. In the mean time, anyone experienced anything similar?

While you were drunk, you banged your funny bone on something, talked or texted on your cell phone too much while resting your elbow on a table or something, slept with your arm bent/compressed, or engaged in some weird/prolonged sexual position that put strain on your axilla, elbow, or wrist.

Ring and pinky finger numbness and tingling suggests you banged or stretched your ulnar nerve (usually at or below the elbow but could be higher). Headache is probably unrelated, maybe its the hang-over.

do you realize how common it is for people with neck problems to have headaches and nerve root impingements? the misaligned neck causes both problems. you can ask anyone, neurologist, orthopedist, or chiropractor. they'll all tell you the same thing. it's just that their recommended methods of treatment might be a little different, or the same, depending on the severity and the doctor you talk to.

i didn't say he definitely had this issue. i'm saying that it's most likely that he does. i also said that he should do some research, find the best chiropractor in his area, and get it evaluated. it could be sometime else, and if it is, he'll be referred to the appropriate physician.

Figuring you're going with "migraines aren't mild" versus "migraines are bullshit", as if it's the latter, I'd have to... aw hell I dunno.

But migraines CAN be mild. They don't have to be full disorienting, hallucinating, head-splitting, nausea-inducing migraines. They can be that and more, or less than that.

But, yes, most people don't actually know what migraines are for people who get real migraines. I may have had one or two in my life but my mom gets them something fierce. I just get terrible headaches, usually sinus related.

also, i've never posted anything that would suggest that, for medical intervention, someone should see a chiropractor. the examples you've given were obviously medical issues, not chiropractic issues. of course, i wouldn't expect someone who doesn't know the difference between shit and apple butter to know that.

misalignment in your neck is pinching the c8 nerve root... because the neck is misaligned, the muscles in the neck tighten up and are trying to stabilize it, giving you a cervicogenic headache

see what not doing a proper history can do? yes the person was complaining about blurred vision... but doing a proper workup would also determine they had headaches.

see.... a real medical professional would never... EVER... do a medical diagnostic over the internet.

fix the problem... don't just treat the symptom. if the headaches (symptom) are coming from a misaligned neck (problem), fix the problem... otherwise the symptom will just keep coming and you'll keep having to take stuff for it.
