So i had a spare nv5 silencer and figured i'd try to mount it on my new 7900gt, not exactly sure which rev it is but i figure its the original one.

The little plastic "housing" that holds the fan connector needs to be carefully removed, otherwise the heatsink wont sit flush. You also need to connect the fan connector first before installing the heatsink.

The metal piece that sits between the expension slots needs to be yanked out, a little twisting and turning should be enough to get it out.

The silencer sticks out a bit at the back, no biggie, i just didnt feel like cutting it.
With the stock heatsink i was getting around 47C at idle and upto 70C at full load, with the nv5 im getting around 42C at idle and 55C at full load.
