Is anyone who is playing with the Beta able to get their NV Surround setup to do 5760x1200? I was only to get it to do 5760x1080 on my setup, but I'm unsupported still anyway on this beta.

5760x12 works for me on GTX 470 SLI.

Good to know. I was hoping that I could get it to drop down to 2-way SLI and still use this beta, but no such luck. It turns off the side screens when attempting to start a game and has other artifacts after exiting. I'll have to wait for the next release I guess.

Lol. Individual monitors in Portrait mode arranged in landscape.

The third one from the top.

That's a seriously dodgy picture. In the 6 screen version the monitors are stupidly wide (i.e much wider then 16:9). In all of them the middle monitor is significantly wider then all the others. Note: it can't be because the outer monitors are angled because the image would show it (ie. any diagonal line going from one monitor to the next would have a noticeable change in angle if you had angled outer monitors).

Also the game will either maintain the vertical angle (in which case uber wide screen see the same amount vertically as everyone else but then have a much wider horizontal fov), or horizontal angle (in which case uber wide screens get the same horizontal fov as everyone else, but loose out big time vertically). Those screen shots do a mixture of both.

It also doesn't help that they are all drawn to different scales (so for example the 3 screen one has much larger monitors then the others).

As a multiboxer 6 screens would be great for me but I could not use it for standard gaming because the horizontal split would get in the way too much. The only way even numbers of screens are viable is if you can find a way to shrink the bezel down to 1 or 2mm, anymore than that would be too distracting. I suppose 6 720/1080p projectors would look very good if you aligned them properly but the cost of that solutions is quite high as bulbs are very expensive.

I think the NV solution is probably better for gaming as they have good SLi scaling and the extra resolution almost forces you to use a multi gpu setup to get the best out of it.

You don't have to use 6 monitors. You can use anything from 1 to 6 (or possibly 12) with various ATI options.
With NV it's 1 or 3, and for that 1 or 3, it offers pretty much the fastest solution.
If you want flexibility though, you need to pick ATI. Flexibility to use one card, flexibility to use a number of monitors which isn't 1 or 3 etc.
