Nvidia 56.64 and Java bug

I've got a weird bug with the new Nvidia drivers. I'm using the latest Java on my system from Sun and the latest 56.64 drivers for WinXP from Nvidia. Whenever I open a site using Java or Java applets my screen gets all blurry, the browser and text on the page and everything. It stays like that until I close the browser and open it again. I never had this before these newest drivers. I've reinstalled the drivers and Java both and it still does it. It does this with Internet Explorer or Firefox. Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I don't have that problem... using FireFox, WinXP, 56.64 drivers with my FX5900 and "Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition Version 1.3.1_07"

Well my Java version is 1.4.2_03, the latest Java and I have a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 if that makes a difference. If I revert back to the previous Nvidia drivers it doesn't do that anymore.

Could be an issue with the latest version of Java. I don't really care about Java, I believe the only time I ever use it is when playing Yahoo! Pool

I have that problem too. The card just goes nuts and shows random colors & screenshots from the video buffer right? Which video card are you using? I'm using a PNY GeforceFX 5600 Ultra. I thought my card has died. If you're using Ti4600, then its probably a software thing then.

I tried removing the latest drivers and reinstalling older ones but the bug stays. Tried detonator rip, different versions of java runtime. Nothing works. And its not a good time for me to reformat at that.

Solutions anyone?

I tried the latest nvidia drivers and several older ones. Even a few version of java runtime.

The Ti4xxx seem to have issues with the new drivers that are optimized for GFX. I think the 44.03 version works good with Ti4xxx series. You might need to use a driver cleaner and uninstall and put in an older version to work well with Ti4xxx. Worth a shot. Good Luck.

Same thing on Suns newest java + latest drivers on FX5600 128MB, FX5600 256MB, Ti4200 128MB.

I have the same exact problem, and just fixed it by trial and error of old Java versions, and I found that Asureus and hotels.com both work without the stupid blurry glitch with Java 1.4.0_04.
