It's a tad over 11 inches from what I've read. For reference, a standard ATX motherboard is 9.6 inches deep.

Well, I was mostly referring to the last month or two, although I suppose I haven't really made full use of that card. There just aren't enough good games these days. At least Splinter Cell: Double Agent will be out very soon, but other than that the upcoming games I'm waiting for are still some months off.

God I hope so. The G70 had the ideal launch with it (except for its price) and ATi couldn't answer for half a year. We need the products to be available when they say they will be. None of this, reviews on this day, product on this day or a few when they said there would be only to have "Out of Stock" posted on every link for 2 months.

Well, Nvidia's going to want to sell as many of these as they can before R600, so I'm betting they're producing these like no tomorrow.

That looks like the 'Prescott of video cards tbh.

IE: Very hot and requires stupid ammounts of power.

Oh yeah, and the Prescott sucked @ss as well.

Think I'll be waiting for something slightly smaller, cooler and that needs less power tbh.

ndications are that G80s will disappear as they launch and that there will be in tight supply for the first six weeks at least.

If you want one, be sure to order it on the 7th or 8th as soon as they go online, as you might need to wait a while for the second batch.

Well, first off, that's theINQ.

Secondly, I think nVidia has finally got a sense of just how strong demand will be based on how strong the demand was for the Geforce 7800GTX 512MB and the Geforce 7900 series at launch. Plus, factor in no real competition from ATI, and it's going to be equaling one merry christmas for nV.

From what I have heard with the High level of demand for the G80's
EVGA wont be making it available for step ups immediately at launch.

I hope those are just rumors and you get your hands on one.

I hope the initial supply is good enough that we don't see another gougefest. The 7800GTX 512MB is an extreme example of that because there were such a tiny number of them. At least this time there are 2 cards at launch.
