LOL.

So this is a contest of who can get their stock-cooled 8800GT the highest before it catches on fire?

umm I think it might be used as a comparison database to see where others are getting their 8800GT's clock speeds. I don't think its at all about trying to catch them on fire.

Also, any successful attempts at installing aftermarket cooling would be good to know. I have a spare vf900cu lying around.

I hope there will be pencil mods for the core and memory. How sweet would that be. Then we have an even greater chance to catch it on fire.

okay...still testing but right now I'm at 710/1782/2000. Reference XFX version.

I thought I had a problem with the core earlier, but it turns out the memory was flaking out at 2100. I was at 684/1728/2066. I really hope I can see some EVGA SSC results. Has anybody seen any? I'm wondering if was worth the extra $40.

Question: What utility are you using to overclock that does the shaders as well?

i dont think there is one? unless a new NTune came out recently...

the SSC will come @ 700/1750/2000 -- i'm guessing it'll get up around 740 -- ill know for sure in a few days.

Yeah rivatuner 2.06 beta and 169.04 drivers. I guess it is beta 6. It installs to Rivatuner 2.06test directory.

Have you tested how much higher the temps are when you OC? Whether its a major difference or a minor difference would be important for the casual overclockers who may not have the greatest case airflow =P

I mean, I'm guessing since the stock temps are pretty high, there is an inherent risk of reducing the GPU's operating lifespan with OCing.
