Nvidia 97.92 WHQL x32 Drivers

From what it says seems like WinXP G80 driver (yup, only G80 cards)
Don't have much to go on in that OP.

Didn't check WHQL either.
Hopefully these are better then the sub-par drivers we have now for the G80.

Don't have the time to install them now but go right ahead and try them out if you have a G80 card.
Hopefully they fix a whole lot of problems.

What it seems to fix from a poster over there:

The below games have been fixed with the 97.92 (for me anyway -- I was using the 97.44s before these):

Splinter Cell Double Agent works with the high detail shader on
Halo
Painkiller
UberSoldier
Oblivion seems fine (I say "seems" b/c I can't always get it to mess up even when using the older drivers)

These issues remain for me:

Call of Juarez shadow issue
Blood Rayne 2 (washed out, menu completely messed up)
Gothic 3 shadow issues when SLI is enabled (works fine in single GPU mode)

That's all I've checked so far.

I'll take the fact that since it fixes any one of those things, I'll install it.
I'll taking any driver over the current crappy ones any day of the week, even though they're only marginally better.

About time. Any confirmation if HDR+AA is available in that game as well? Last I heard from thilan29 was that it didn't work for G80 yet.

edit: And I was just about to pull the trigger on a 7950GT too.

I find this one interesting considering nVidia claimed it was a game issue. Perhaps they have a driver workaround?

Why would you pull the trigger on a 7950GT? It would be a downgrade from your X1900XT.

HDCP, dead silent, and it would still perform on par with an X1900XT. The only thing that would be a downgrade would be performance in games I don't play (except for SC - DA) However, if the G80 is working better now....

These drivers seem pretty unstable on my system. Ive had to remove them twice using safemode due to booting into nothing but black screen. on top of that the overscan compensation still wont work, WTF im so pissed.

Wow, that was unexpected. Nvidia typically doesn't put those profiles in until only a month or two before the release. I think everyone knew it would come on the PC eventually, but I was guessing it would be 2008 at the earliest.

No, sorry. Although, the frames never drop below 20ish, I can't bear it. They barely go above 60, so the tearing doesnt bother me.

HDR+AA is still a no-go. But, hey, it looks a lot better now.

Come on GoW!!

You know... if you think about it, it does make sense.

What better way to get a lot of PC gamers to move up to Vista ASAP than releasing GoW for Vista/DX10. GoW is positively sick on Xbox 360 (in the good way) and will probably be even better on a real nice Vista gaming rig.

Nightmare225, use RivaTuner's D3DOverrider application. The short of it is that it enables D3D triple buffering, allowing you to utilize VSYNC with minimal FPS loss. (Yes, I know how VSYNC works, I know there is no "FPS loss", but that's the gist of it in the long run.)

I didn't see them say it outright but that seems to be the consensus @ the nVidia forums.

After installing these drivers, I seem to have lost most of my powerscheme options. Only "Homedesktop/Always On" and "Laptop..." is available. This has screwed up AMD Cool&Quiet as "Minimal Power Management" is no longer available. Has anyone noticed anything similiar?

you can run double agent with AA+HDR at the same time.
AND you dont need nhacer.what you need is:
1.install the new driver
2.start the game
3.in options turn off HDR and turn on AA to teh level you wish
4.exit the game
