Nvidia bad multimonitor support?

I've been trying to fix this problem for over a month.
I started with 5850 with 3 monitors.
Bought 2 GTX460 so I could get better fps.
Benchmarks ran fine but i get flickers in the game and BSOD.
Sold Gtx460 and got GTX465@470 and gtx260.

I'm running extended desktop mode using IGP and gtx470.
My card is downlocking to 405Mhz and BSOD in the games.
Installed gtx260 on second slot and even tried gtx260 alone with IGP.
Same problem.


This morning I disconnected 2 monitors and everything runs fine using only single monitor.

So I'm left with 2 monitors that I cant use.

Anybody had this problem?

I tried all the drivers they had in nvidia website(190 to latest 260 beta)

It seems like you went from something good to something better, only to be hit by the hammer of fail which is Nvidias GTX460 SLI drivers. Or lets just say Nvidia drivers, since they are for all Geforce cards.

There are problems with GTX460s in SLI. No ETA atm for when they get fixed. Nvidia just released some beta drivers. Have you tried the latest of those? Linked on this same page in its own topic.



AMD currently provides the best 3monitor experiance wi6th their focus on Eyefinity. You ever thought of going CrossfireX with another HD5850? Should have netted you more about the same gaming experiance with less problems.

In anycase, gl finding your solution.

It does say ALOT about Nvidias GTX460 SLI problem, that noone has deigned to focus on this post as of yet though. Is there any help for this guy? Are we going to keep calling Nvidias drivers rock stable when this stuff keeps happening?

My single card has no problems i have to say. Its a sad thing im seeing and hearing all these problems with GTX460 SLI drivers. Just doesnt entice me to buy another to do SLI
