Actually bashing the competition is highly unethical. I would'nt want to work for a company that resorts to such tactics. It's probablly not good for moral either especially when your still slower and the "troops" know it too.

No ATi would NEVER bash or try to belittle any company

We've answered this, and yes, we feel we can compare ourselves to any brand, as we believe our quality and performance are higher. Perhaps at times we should be upset about people comparing us to lower quality implementations

Nope you can go buy 60 of them shady, im just saying NVIDIA isnt going anywhere, and even the fanbois know it. So why bring it up unless you are disabled in some sort of way, to which i must say, i'm sorry to the person who posted that.

Then lets see some gawd damn hardware on the shelves please lol.

Where's the 6800u? The 6800GT? Hell, even the x800 released weeks ago is no where to be found without a waiting period.

I could agree that ATI did not know how to implement it. If they new years before release in the R&D phase, they could of fitted it on the 130nm process without making such a fuss about cost.

Remember, ATI was first to say that the NV40 was a "monstrosity" that soaked up to much power and die size. This is the counter attack.

Ouch, low blow

And it's still equal to the best nVidia can offer

I'm beginning to think not, the CORE of the 6800 series seems to have enormous potential. The newer drivers could do quite a bit with the 6800.

Agreed. The hardware video encoding unit on the 6800 isn't even functional in the current drivers yet, so I'd also be willing to bet there is a lot of power in the 6800 series that hasn't been unlocked yet because of poor driver implementation. It's a bit too early in the game to crown a performance leader yet, let alone a price/performace leader (which is what most of us here REALLY care about).

This is a tool for (nVidia-based) sales, marketing, customer service for inquiries regarding ATI's release from existing customers and potential customers.

I love the handy little "nvidia internal document" on the bottom left.

My guess is the "leak" was by marketing. who probably made it.

once they get their sh1t together and learn that core inside and out...the chip really has potential...it just has to be unlocked...and untill their driver teams gets to it...its gonna run neck and neck as it does now

Big diff between ATI's innuendo and nVidias lengthy PP presentation smear campian.

One wonders who nVidias presentation was directed twards though? If it's to size up the competition internally amoung technologists and engineers, is a piss poor effort since they fail to point out anything ATI is good at, (there has to be *something* nVidia finds value in and is working twards emulating) which leaves me with the impression this is purley FUD, produced and "accidently" released by marketing.

Either way it just stinks. Misinformed, incomplete, and negative which is typical of marketing types.

Damn nvidia!! Theyve sunk as low as to dis another company, those idiots. Theyre just sore because their NEW core didnt totally paste ati's "R300 on steroids" as they thought it would. Screw them, theyre total evil!!

Things are just horrible over at NVIDIA.

Considering they HAD a market cap of ~9B just a couple years ago and now dropped to ~3.6B I'd say they hit a bump in the road. Also according to this graph Text, ATIs surge took place right about when their old technology was released.

i don't care if ATI or Nvidia bash each other. As long as they create competition amongst each other, then that means it's good for the consumers.

Bash away Nvidia.

The ATI fanbois are out in force to defend themselves and in turn bash Nvidia as struggling and going out of business

Hey Zebo,
take a look at this and tell me which company looks like it has growth:

Lol, I love how they reference the ATI leaked document in their leaked document.

The fact of the matter is neither card is "much worse" than the other. You can make a case for every one of ATI's design decisions, and every one of nVidia's with this current crop.

never said nVidia is going anywhere maybe someone else did? I own of have owned every nVidia gereration so drop the fanboy BS. Objectivly it's plain to see, looking at the graph you provided, Nvidia has lost 300% of it's value since ATI introduced the 3xx core, obviously depends what time frame your talking about "growth." No doubt nVidia was a rising star going from a few million dollar company to a few billion one in thier infancy 3-5 years ago, wish I owned some back then. Glad I did'nt buy two years ago.

Coorelation does'nt nessasarly mean causation though.

These "leaked" internal company slides were designed with websites in mind. Guess marketing team is doing their job as it's spreading over the Net.

I guess it's ok for ATI to do it, but not NVidia? ATI had the same kind of slides, trying to tell representatives to "persuade" people away from PS3.0/SM3.0, I am looking for them now.

LOL, nVidia trying to convince others that the X800 is an act of desparation is an act of desparation on nVidia's part

I have always been a big fan of Nvidia and was very leary of buying my 9700pro AIW. But I have been very happy with it thus far and have no regrets. I have no idea which brand of card I will buy next, I was just saying that I didn't appreciate Nvidia's marketing campaign.
