Why did they include an $800 5080 option in their perf/$ chart? This makes no sense. . .

TPU Edition!some mythical $800 discounted version.
The added latency is a partial sum of a rendered frame + generated frames, assuming the card can generate the inserted frames much faster than it can render another full frame. All of this is offset by the rest of the system latency and also Reflex. If Reflex is not available to enable independently of DLSS/FG, then the comparison can be made to seem much more favorable for frame generation in terms of latency cost.1000ms/s divided by 37FPS = 27ms/frame, then times 4 because 3 inserted frames + 1 rendered frame is a theoretical 108ms latency.
It's funny that this approach is similar to the AMD's CPU clock management, but for GPU they aim for the opposite, prioritizing clock stability over voltage.Nvidia says they are adjusting clock speed at much higher rate, it will fluctuate even within a frame now.
QuoteTPU also thinking AMD will be done making GPUs in two years. Great conclusion on the 5080 review, I concur.
Crazy people
What is interesting there no HU review video in NV subreddit...
I was reading somewhere, that there is no demand...
Unfortunately we have moved beyond FOMO, to "Need early gear to show off on social media", but that doesn't have a catchy acrocym: NEGTSOOSM?
It doesn't matter if it's any good anymore. Just as long as it's new and can be talked about for 10 minutes.
Not that many surprisingly. Even they admitted that it has limited use, i.e on Alan Wake 2 with 4x MFG 5080 was hitting 100ms latency at 140 FPS.
So I just wasted 10 minutes at Tech Power Up and my largest amusement were the people angry at AMD for "letting" this happen in the comments section. LMAO..

Not like AMD won't be making the APUs forever, Instinct and consoles?
The return of LaserDisc: Dragon's Lair 2025 edition! Not that many surprisingly. Even they admitted that it has limited use, i.e on Alan Wake 2 with 4x MFG 5080 was hitting 100ms latency at 140 FPS.
Is W1zzard's shilling now trying to compete with DF's?TPU made the mistake of comparing to the 7900XTX.
Since it made the 7900XTX look good, they shat on it in the conclusion to painfully justify their "highly recommended because from nvidia" award.
"yada yada not from nvidia yada yada would never put money on amd crap"
🙃
Only available to those who shill enough in the TPU comments!TPU Edition!
Where, oh, where is the /sarc tag? Oh no: they are serious! So I just wasted 10 minutes at Tech Power Up and my largest amusement were the people angry at AMD for "letting" this happen in the comments section. LMAO..

Yeah, the key is social media. Who cares what your lifestyle or "consumption pattern" (omg) is except your closest people if we didn't have YT, etc.PC building is a lifestyle thing for a lot of people, and when any hobby becomes a lifestyle, brains go out the window.
sometimes, new microarches go wrong.this is the worst gen ever. Look I get past ones might have been hot or whatever but providing no uplifts after 2 years makes you incompetent. This makes CPU uplifts look sane.
They totally regressed and they chose GDDR7 to hide this.
then don’t release it, might have been cheaper and frankly less e-waste.sometimes, new microarches go wrong.
I'm waiting for the 5070 before I officially declare it a flop generator. I mean generation.
No new product is bad.then don’t release it, might have been cheaper and frankly less e-waste.
It actually did improve, just missed on fmax.Say whatever you want with RDNA3 at least it didnt regress. NV totally botched this release.
The world's changing too fast. Get used to the new nvidia's tick-tock cadence.providing no uplifts after 2 years makes you incompetent. This makes CPU uplifts look sane
Who would have thought...I begin to think that the media is very easily bought.
The 5070Ti looks like it still has a chance to look better relative to Ada. It may actually make the 5080 look bad by comparison.I'm waiting for the 5070 before I officially declare it a flop generator. I mean generation.
