After looking at it more carefully I might just wait for the G5 price drops late in the year. The 165hz refresh rate is worth the extra cost for PC gaming, and the MLA panels have issues with black levels in a bright room.

People have arguing continuously that NVidia is losing mindshare, for a multitude of reasons since Turing in 2018, and essentially they only gained market share since.

The closest we have been to a shift is right now.

With a decent AMD card at a decently better price with a decent supply, contrasted with the worse NVidia launch in a decade, and even then NVidia could probably turn 50 series around with a reasonable supply and near MSRP prices.

People really don't care about any perceived past grievances nearly as much as "What are you going to do for me today?".

sure I would never bought 5090 due connector issue and price, prices defo need to come down and they will, driver need more work also but some post here will misguide ppl AMD is better and its not, at best its in par with NV atm vs price what you get or a bit better

They are rumored to be dropping prices substantially because they wanted to price the 5060 series close where the 9070 is priced.

I can only imagine the handwringing going on at NVIDIA right now.

It's already $70 lower, 5070 saw only $50 off compared to predecessor. And this doesn't really matter when you can't find anything at this cost.

I already pointed prices should be less, as NV is very bad in media and they need to sell ton 5060/ti as with 4060

Those prices make a lot more sense given the pricing of the 5070 and how well (or poorly) it seems to be moving. There's an MSRP Asus Prime 5070 model just sitting in stock at Best Buy Canada right now; they dropped 10 an hour ago and they still haven't sold out. 5060 Ti 16GB with 75% of the SM of a 5070 at only a $50 discount would be a complete non-starter even if you're so heavy into the koolaid you pee green.

NV is not stupid, they can make few mistakes, and pay for it as for bad sale of 57+xx, while they will make millions of 5060 and they know first reviews of them must be gr8 also vs price... only way to do that now to push as low price as possible

+14% over 4060 Ti would put it a little faster than 3070 Ti at 1440p. 6% more SM than 4060 Ti though, so if you were expecting a big gain you're probably looking at disappointment.
More damning is that after two generations and 4.5 years, we might get a 5060 Ti 8GB that's $20 cheaper and 30-35% faster than the $400 3060 Ti 8GB.

FWIW, as of writing this 12+ hours later 9 of those 10 MSRP 5070's that are available for shipping across Canada are still sitting in stock.
