Most of us already know by now that the 50 series doesn't bring that much raw performance uplift to the table (except for top end). Funny thing is, once the flood gates open, there's gonna be frenzy. People are gonna go swamp every retailer that carry RTX 50 series GPUs and it'll be sold out in seconds. Followed by shortages, demand, scalping and the usual drama. Nvidia is gonna make a boat load of money imo.
This is shaping up to be a decent AMD release from my perspective. I wish I could have held out for another generation (I got a 4070). Good chance I would have got a 9070 instead of 5070.
I have 40 series too. And I'm not upgrading. See no reason. All I need is a (dlss4) driver update and I'm good to go for another 2 years at least.
As a general rule, anyone who already has a 40 series, I think there's no compelling reason to upgrade to 50 series anytime now.
(Edit) Note: I'm not sure whether it's kinda okay to say stuff like this in this thread. Mods might think I'm anti-vendor (I'm not). If any of you feel what I said in this post doesn't play well with this forum/thread rules, please lemme know and I'll edit the post to make it right.
