And if the rumours of shortages are correct, it may be April before we'll see normal prices.I don’t think scalpers will go hard on the 5090. 40 series was not that hard to get at launch, unlike 30 series. 5090 is really pricey and it’s a much riskier proposition to scalp. My guess is initial launch sells out very fast, and then it won’t be too hard.
Supply supposedly is very low plus the typical NB shenanigans with FE cards and msrp. As far as I remember NV charges AIBs more for the chips than the FE MSRP so obviously the actualy AIB cards will cost several $100 more.Wow with those prices they must be faster than I thought 🤔

So in just over a weeks time you will be able to order a 50 series GPU.
I can tell you now:
5090 - Mega tight (single digits at present, maybe double for launch)
5080 - Very tight (few hundred)
We are expecting greater demand than 40 series, but with the launch just prior to CNY and lots of other rumours circulating initial waves of supply are poor and will probably take some time to build up. So the stock we have will be made available from the launch via the webshop but I know what we have is likely to last only seconds, minutes at most.
We will also be trying to limit how many pre-orders we take, we will take some pre-orders but not thousands as we want to ensure customers get realistic expectations and are not waiting months.
So in short your going to need to be extremely patient, I feel and keep a watchful eye on all resellers and NVIDIA's own shop for stock drops and buying what you can find as there is a huge amount of pent up demand this round especially with thousands of people buying 9800X3D's and planning upgrades around that CPU, OcUK alone has sold and shipped 5000+ 9800X3D's already.
