Nvidia FX5600XT or ATi 9100?

I'm going to put some pieces together and sell a computer.

I have one Gainward FX 5600XT Ultra/760 128MB and a Sapphire ATi 9100 64MB. Which one of these two cards is "best" when speaking of 2D and TV-out? In gaming is of course the FX5600 better than the ATi9100 (at least according to futuremarks database).

Edit: I see now that there isn't so much diff between the two cards when talking 5600XT (I thought it was an Ultra *buuuuhhaaaa*)

I've only worked with budget vid cards (GF4 MX440, Radeon 9000, and old Radeon 8500). My experience with slower cards 2D is a LOT better with an ATI card. It just has a crisp to it but I'm not sure how to explain. Just from using it I can see a difference. With higher end cards the difference should be minimal.

You are selling this computer? People "think" that the 5600 is faster because its 128mb and DX9. So from a selling standpoint, it may look better to the customer then a 9100 "sucky" 64mb DX8 card.

But from someones perception that knows what they are doing, Id say they are about even in 3D. DONT trust 3Dmark ESPECIALLY when comparing a DX9 to a DX8 card. Due to the 9100 not being able to run tests on 3Dmark'03, it doesnt get ANY points for them. Therefore its not a good benchmark to use.

The 9100 has a slightly faster core. ESPECIALLY because the 5600 is an "XT" and in NV terms, that means "suckier".

On the other side of the table, the 9100 has 64mb compared to the 5600 which has 128mb. Therefore, in older games (Call of duty/Q3), the 9100 definately would be faster due to less texture data then in games of the future (aka doom3/HL2).

Although the 9100 is crippled by only having 64mb, I think that overall it is and will be faster then the 5600XT. You have to remember though, it wont have DX9 features. This is a good and bad thing. Due to it not having to render such complex scenes, it will obviously render them faster, but less good looking. Basically im saying you have to consider your market. Both cards are nothing big, but one is slightly faster (9100) and one has better IQ due to DX9 (5600XT). If the person is into computers and knows what they are talking about, offer the 9100 otherwise the 5600 LOOKS better on paper and isnt trautmatically slower)

As far as 2d and TV out goes, they are close on the 2d. Definately debatable and therefore i say its not a huge issue. I really dont know much about their TV out capability. I say test them for yourself.

9100 is 8500LE. 9100 is faster than 5600xt in everything and has better 2d.

I ran some benchmarks with non-overclocked VGA/CPU in 3DM2001SE and the result was quite surprising (for me at least).

Nvidia FX5600XT ~5500-5900pts (different settings and drivers)
ATi 9100 ~9500-10000pts (different settings and drivers)

the rest of the system was:
ASUS P4S800D
P4 Prescott 2.8GHz
512MB DDR
160GB Maxtor 8MB
