these drivers a awful for me. first time ever have problems with them. Benchmarks crash. games crash. Back to 266.58s

Just installed them today on my Tri-SLI GTX-580 3GB set up and the stupid menu screen on BFBC2 is off-center! :thumbsdown:

The same thing happened with the 270.61 WHQL also!

Does anyone have a fix?

With NV, cheaper cards tend to perform better on desktop/video duty for whatever reason. For instance my GTX 460 does a better job handling aero/video than the GTX 580. It's a mystery.

Please share! Do you still have your old gtx470? I think it would be interesting to revisit that vs. the gtx280/285...

The GTX470 has been sold. I requested to borrow a GTX280 so I could re-test everything on Windows 7 with new drivers, but unfortunately that didn't work out.

I’m making some very interesting findings with these drivers. I’m seeing some big performance increases in some situations, among other things.

Radical (undocumented) improvements in Shogun TW II and DiRT 3 make these drivers a must have for 500 series imo. i just finished testing 30 games with the new drivers using GTX 590 and GTX 580. And they are highly recommended for 3D Vision!

You can see the improvements in Shogun TW II and DiRT 3 are substantial.

i wasnt sure where to ask this, but maybe someone who reads this will know. i'm a little confused about nvidia optimus. is it included in driver software i download, or is it some separate software? the nvidia website seems to talk about it a lot, but it does not actually say where (or how) to get it..

ps. i know its in regards to mobile drivers but i thought this would be the best place to ask

new drivers work well for me... ~300pts up from 270.xx in 3dmarks 2011.

I think that if you have a laptop that is optimus capable, then the drivers will automatically do the work (switching between discrete and embedded) for you in the background.
