If you're looking for a cheap AGP card

$4.99 after $20 MIR. Shipping came to about $7 for me, so some of you may get better deals.

NOTE, ONLY COMES WITH A LOW PROFILE BRACKET.

Good for some SFF or thin HTPC cases maybe.

Might Be Good For Reviving An Old Machine.

Maybe One That Uses "shared Memory" For The Video...

Price is Right!

Yes, the GF4 MX is a geforce 2. It is slower then the GF3 and much slower then the true GF4. The most misleading naming I have ever seen.

It is still cheap, for the absolute budget, but I don't think it will outperform basic Intel onboard graphics these days.

I wouldn't replace onboard DirectX-9 level graphics with even this board.

And yes, integrated graphics are finally up to GeForce2 level graphics, I mean -- it's only been seven years since the GF2 was in its prime. I owned a sweet VisionTek (yes, they used to make nVidia cards) GF DDR, then I got a Gainward (omfgz legendary golden shower!) GF2 Ultra.

No sense in threadcrapping. Someone might have an older AGP-based PC that doesn't have onboard video that is fast enough to use as an HTPC. Worse case, you could buy this as a backup for your old AGP machine if your primary vid card dies so that at least you can get to your email and the web. Just because you don't have a use for it doesn't mean someone else doesn't.

Thanks for the support but I don't think he was trying to threadcrap. Merely to inform the buyers. Some people with integrated graphic may need to check on their specs before jumping on this or they may end up with something worst.

As always, buyers should do their own research and not depend on the OP to tell them what's hot or not. Because leading edge this card is NOT.

I wasn't trying to threadcrap. I keep a 2MB PCI graphics card for troubleshooting, mainly because it works in ANY computer from like the mid/early 90s to now. Quite a versatile piece of machinery.

I wouldn't want BillyBobNewbie3553 to think that his new Pentium 4 rig with 915G is going to fly with this card

Its an ok deal. I have 2 of these, but with DVI, and they came in handy. But OP please change subject to "GeForce 4 MX" to make it clearer.

Scroll down the TD webpage and you will see that they call this a GeForceMX4000 card. It should be very similar to the BFG MX4000 card here by looking at the specs. It also is 8X/4X AGP at it has DX8.1 support. I have this BFG card in one of my computers and it still works well. Without question, better than onboard grapgics of a couple years ago. Definitely worth 5.00 AR. OP should change the title to GeForce MX4000.

edit:
Now if the card is similar to the Evga MX4000 card it could either have 32 bit memory (bad) or 64 bit memory (better). There's no way of knowing since TD isn't putting the specs completely out there for us to see. The card is made by Joy Systems for what I can tell. If this card works like the BFG card it's a deal, if it's something less than BFG then the performance will take a biiger hit and maybe that isn't worth it.

I have an MX420 and 440. Do remember that the GeForce 4 MX models lack shader units. Which means any and all games during or after the release sometime around of Brothers in Arms for the PC will not play on the card.
