that still sux for the x800 xt. it means that the 6600gt, a lower end card then the 6800 gt, is still faster then ati's 2nd best (if you disregard the platinum edition).

8807 on 3dmark03? thats the same as a 6800nu. its actually better than the x800 pro.

how did they overclock it so much? its more than double the original memory speed.

you are getting the 6600 and 6600GT confused, the default core/mem for the 6600 is clocked at 300/250*2 while the GT is clocked at 500/500*2

It's gonna be hard for the X700 to compete if it's positioned lower than the X800Pro, which is pretty much on par with the 6600GT as far as these benches go. Of course, no CS/HL2 benches yet...

Just an FYI price has been updated on the x700XT to 199. down from 249.

Also the HardOCPs review as well as many other on the internet are completly worthless. Because reviewing a x600(9600pro) vs a GF6 series card serves no purpose at all.

Bump up the resolution to 16x12 (which is what I play at), and my X800XT will OWN at 6600.
