I can see these sales numbers being correct. A lot of people will be buying VR headsets and will want the best experience they can get.

It's still important to note though that the 5000 number is sold not shipped. OCUK has only shipped a bit over 1000 1080s. So they still have a huge backlog (supply constrained obviously)

The problem is you are comparing a oc card vs one that isn't.

As everyone else can see the 1070 is indeed faster then either under normal conditions.

The GTX 1070 and GTX1080 are running at 1800MHz+ for the duration of the video (3 minutes), while GTX 980Ti only at 1215MHz.

If you continue another 5-6 minutes of gameplay both GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 will start to throttle down and performance will be lower.
