Nvidia GPU Naming :)

ATI went through this before, and they followed their 9700/9800 with the Xx00 Series, X800, X850, etc. Back up to the 3000 series now.

What will Nvidia do? So we've heard that they're probably bringing a 9800 series (with variants, most likely, 9600, 9500, etc.), I wonder what the gen after the 9000 will be? Will they actually make a 10800 card? Sounds silly. So I wonder what will happen? N800, N800GT, N850, etc? Lolz.

I could never stand the "GeForce" Branding. Sounds too "kiddie". (Which may or may not have been their intention.)

Less is more. Simply "Nvidia" and a few digits for a model number "9900" and two letters for a suffix to identify it's class
"GS" "GT" "GX" "GZ"

after the 9800GTX and the 9800GX2 comes the 9800GTS... then comes the 9800GT which is faster then the 9800GTS and a revision 2 9800GTS that is almost the same speed as the 9800GT and then a revision 3 of the GTS that is faster then the GT but slower then the GTX and an Ultra which is just an overclocked GTX (which could potentially perform worse then an agressively overclocked GTX) as well as a GS version that performs at about the level of a 8600GT but carries the 9800 name to confuse people.... did I forget something?

i heard 10800 GTX has problems with dx11 drivers and SLI (display driver stopped responding etc), so don't buy it when it come out. WAIT

And also you cannot max out crysis 3 with any future cards so remember to lower your settings.

No it doesn't.

I have my 10800 GTXs in SLI and the max out Crysis 3, Battefield 6 and Call Of Duty 7 just fine!!

No it doesn't.

I have my 10800 GTXs in SLI and the max out Crysis 3, Battefield 6 and Call Of Duty 7 just fine!!

That's because you also have the new Intel QXTX10086 16-core cpu with built in raytracers, while he's still stuck with the ancient Q6600, so he's obviously cpu-bound.

Too bad you need that new Windows Mista OS to take advantage of SEX SLI, and I've heard horror stories where you have to beg and bribe the OS just to let you watch a movie on that super hi def purple-ray format with 360 degree hologram monitors.
