You can't put it together? FUD forwarded FUD. Why would it be so hard to believe that it is part of AMD's Fud Campaign? Shouldn't be. Unless you deny there was any AMD Fud campaign to begin with, then I could see why your curious enough to ask this question.
No denial here, just curious why you're so certain there
is an AMD campaign, and further, that it's responsible for doctored slides. From FUD. Of all places.
Hasn't the site lost enough credibility that we're past the need to point the finger at red or green here? You are essentially claiming FUD reporting bogus performance information, then quickly retracting it, all the while reporting wildly varying card specifications, is all by the design of AMD...rather than merely FUD and its unnamed sources making educated guesses as it has proven to do time and again in the past.
Supposing you are correct, and AMD is spreading bad numbers to FUD (of all sites), my question would be: to what gain? First they gave numbers that were too low, then retracted them and tossed out higher numbers, all just a handful of days before the cards launch anyway. If the cards are competitive there are many avenues of leaking information that don't involve the least credible site in tech news. I just don't see it.
I don't doubt there are marketing campaigns churning in both camps, but honestly? This is FUD being FUD. If it seems they're throwing out a lot of AMD-specific info, I'd imagine it's because
AMD is the one with new flagship cards launching.
I'll say it again: FUD is a gossip column. It's pretty much worthless for any reliable news. If AMD has some scheme to send them info, then--regardless of its validity--it's their loss.
