I might be TOTALLY off, but the picture does not indicate a graphics card.

In fact, it looks like a shot from a monitor or maybe an entire "Nvidia PC" or even a Nvidia game console. Look closer. A graphics card doesn't have an embossed logo like that.
The picture could be totally off on purpose, but I kind of hope that it's a lunch-box. Finally a geeky contender for the Tupperware. :whiste:

I'm guessing it'll end up being laptops with Nvidia's GPUs in them for maximum dissapointment

How many people remember when there was almost nothing from Nvidia before GK104 came out and smoked the 7970 in every metric?

Good times.

Every metric? You can't claim to be anything other than a fanboy at this point.

If you said "it smokes the 7970 in almost every area" then that would be OK, but you just sound like a 12 year old child waiting for Santa on Christmas eve with that kind of inaccurate sensationalism.

I'm betting it's something to do with Tegra. The Kepler version of Tegra or something boring and dull to do with mobile platforms.

loool.

Pretty sure it's a video card and an obtuse picture taken of the card. If you look at the bottom most area you can see the typical spokes of the blower fans nvidia uses on their cards.

I think it's a shot from the back end of the card. If I had to guess because of the top most portion having to be a backplate with that nvidia claw logo, I would say 690. I doubt they would put in the expense of a back plate on a 670.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Anyone else remember Nvidia's "The Power of 3"? They had this big announcement on their webpage with a countdown timer and a teaser that said, "On August 11th Nvidia delivers The Power of 3. So don't buy old graphics cards".

After days of speculation and discussions of trying to guess what new cards Nvidia would be releasing on August 11th, the fateful day finally arrived and Nvidia revealed that "The Power of 3" was.....

SLI, SM3.0 and HDR.

Which had all been out for ages already. So the whole "event" culminated in a collective eyeroll from the tech community.

...well that settles where my money is going.

I don't understand why nvidia lets the majority of where the money is stay unmatched.

I was looking forward to an nvidia card but, i ain't waiting ages for this.

Lol'd at this comment from the TPU article:
"Someone should inform NVIDIA that half of "no availability" is still "no availability", which is just what you'll get by slapping two largely unavailable chips on one board."

Looks like my second one is *finally* shipping. I stuck with the same brand, but got slightly differing clocks due to availability. I hope it's not an issue. I doubt it will be since in SLI they run different clocks anyway from the boosting.

Dang, Nvidia really stuck it to AMD at the top end this round... One-two punch combo and down goes frazier.

Err, I'd not say that. The AMD card is a *little* slower. But it's also a little cheaper.

First, I need to see a game that's worthy of a GPU upgrade.

I have a feeling I will be waiting few more years....

Haha, actually that is rather witty.

Might actually be untrue though. If they're holding back a lot of these because they don't reach the clock spec, those can go in a 690, as I'd imagine the clocks would be 10-15% less on a 690.
