Now, if only nVidia has figured out how to raise an Intel fsb above stock, that'll probably be a good board.

Unless something changes between now and next week, it should surprise you.

Im sure the new C55 chip for intel allows for OCes up to 510~mhz FSB...

Is the new 680i based on the C55? Is this the one that made DFI postpone the Lan Party Nvidia based for Intel?

If that's the case, I'll keep my fingers crossed.....the 2xGTO's need a new home

If it was a ASUS or Intel mobo I'd say its probably quad core ready but not sure since its eVGA although it stands a good chance for it. Didnt Intel say the were pledging to have 80core procs in 5 years or so? I read something about that. Also I read something recently speculating with the high multi-core procs there may not have a need for any physics cards since one or some of the cores will be able to do physics while the others do the rest. Which is what I'm hoping for. I really dont want to have to buy another card. I think alot of consumers agree with me on that. I'm thinking that the manufacturers are going to be asking this same question as well. Will people really want another card just to run physics? Right now i think we're lucky the Aegia (or whatever its called) card wasnt worth diddly in testing. Guess we'll have to wait and see what comes about.

How many years ago was Intel saying we'd have 10GHz CPUs in 5 years or so?

C'mon, give us under $150 E4300 chips already (and under $100 overclockable motherboards while yer at it!).

P.S. Gary: Like I said, as an AT editor you should post more than just a photo. I can't even go elsewhere and tell people about this embarassing post.
Minus the PS2 ports and the floppy controller I see on there.

Damn Dell's latest servers have done it... lets get it to the desktop too!!

I'm with you. Still waiting for the E4300 just so I don't have to drop $300 on an E6600 to get a decent multiplier.

Valid point, Zap. My point though was that if they keep adding cores to the procs, as it seems likely right now if they keep going as is, that if one or some of those cores can be dedicated to the physics part of gaming we may not need a third video card. This is just a theory I heard anyway. Like I mentioned earlier I dont want to have to get another video card for my gaming PC. Not enough PCI/e slots on them as is nowadays. At least usuable slots that are not blocked by a two-slot card or dual card setup.

I also wonder if it uses digital PWM. Can anyone tell by the picture?
