PurePC already has a review sample, probably other websites as well:

Of course there’s a review sample of the latest card from the ‘Greens’ — GTX 1060 — at our office already. So get ready for another tests.

The third rumor for today came from Korean retailer. This table shows products that will take part in Overwatch bundle promotion between June 28th and August 31st. First column shows available products, second column describes quantity of available products and third column mentions how many sets of Overwatch themed stuff will be added for those purchases. Finally, the last paragraph says GTX1060 Series are coming soon. I don’t have a link, but I was told it’s from Facebook.

Geforce GTX 1060 Founder's Edition pictured, custom model listed in Europe, reviews in a few days

PurePC (Translated) said:
We can not yet confirm, but in the next few days, you should expect extensive test this model. Since the technical details still are confidential, as well as performance results, you have to believe our word for it Some few days probably waiting for a surprise, because NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, probably also introduce Founders Edition.

Non-reference design has not yet had the opportunity to see, as long as the producers just waiting for the sample, so their debut is a matter of several days up to two weeks.

TechPowerUp said:
Here are some more technical pictures of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 reference-design board, which reveals quite a few features about the card. The biggest revelation is that the card completely lacks SLI bridge fingers. We wonder if NVIDIA has innovated a bridge-less SLI for this card, although we find it unlikely given the amount of efforts the company put into marketing the SLI HB bridge, and the reason SLI needs a bridge in the first place. Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 480 supports 4-way CrossFireX.

Next up, the PCB is shorter than the card itself, and NVIDIA's unique new reference-cooler makes the card about 50% longer than its PCB. NVIDIA listened to feedback about shorter PCBs pushing power connectors towards the middle of the cards; and innovated a unique design, in which the card's sole 6-pin PCIe power connector is located where you want it (towards the end), and internal high-current wires are soldered to the PCB. Neato? Think again. What if you want to change the cooler, or maybe use a water-block? Prepare to deal with six insulated wires sticking out of somewhere in the PCB, and running into that PCIe power receptacle. The rear PCB shot also seems to confirm the 192-bit memory bus, given how some memory chip pads are blanked out by lacking SMT components needed by the memory chip.

VideoCardz said:
PurePC confirms earlier leaks by publishing first pictures of GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition review sample. That said GeForce GTX 1060 is confirmed to feature single 6-pin power connector and short PCB labeled as PG410 (so it also confirms it’s Pascal GP106).

Meanwhile first European shop lists ASUS STRIX GTX 1060 in two versions. Actually the information provided by the retailer is quite messy. While manufacturer code clearly sais 6GB, they still list them as 8GB models. Also the prices are definitely not of GTX 1060. There are two variants, one if factory-overclocked:

ASUS STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING (90YV09Q0-M0NA00)
ASUS STRIX-GTX1060-6G-GAMING(90YV09Q1-M0NA00)

The GPU is labeled as PG410. This is GP106, not GP104.

What a moronic connector design. I really hope it doesn't migrate to other short PCBs in the future.

If you are talking about the PCI-E 6-pin connector placement.

It's probably to lower the risk of entanglement of the cable as well as ease general cable management, as putting it at the end of the short PCB instead would put it in a far more awkward position in terms of cable management and general cable safety.

My EK waterblock gets here Thursday...going to put the 1080 under water and see how high it goes. I used Afterburner to do +200 on the core and it boosted 2 Ghz+ easily with the Founder's edition(aka reference) cooler.

Looking at Radeon RX 480 reviews, I think NVIDIA will be able to play safe with GP106 and still come out competitive. All they need is a 1280 SPs, 48 ROPs, 192-bit VGA at Geforce GTX 1080 clocks and they're already at 4.12 TFLOPs, closer to Geforce GTX 980 (4.61 TFLOPs) than Geforce GTX 970 (3.49 TFLOPS). On the technical side they will probably have a smaller die that draws significantly less power under load than the competition.

Typical gaming power consumption for Geforce GTX 960 is 2/3 that of Geforce GTX 970, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect around 95-110W for Geforce GTX 1060 here.

erm...
Nvidia 970: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-970/specifications
= 1178 MHz * 2 *1664 = 3,92TFlops

Nvidia 980: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-980/specifications
= 1216MHz * 2 * 2048 = ~5Tflops

So it is much much closer to the 970 than the 980.

NVIDIA PASCAL BASED TITAN 50% FASTER THAN GEFORCE GTX 1080?

While Nvidia will pull out all the guns to fight the AMD Radeon RX 480, releasing GeForce GTX 1060 as early as July 7th – our focus is slowly turning towards the real big gun of Pascal-based GeForce line-up. If our sources are correct, GP100 and GP102 were essentially the same chips, with the difference being NVLink interface on the GP100 and PCI Express for the GP100. Feature set on both chips is the same, and there are no surprises.

We held the “Tesla P100 for PCI Express-based Servers” board in our hands just a few weeks ago, and just a few days ago, we managed to grab our hands on a GP100/GP102-based GeForce GTX Titan. As we reported earlier, this board will only come to market after the debut of Quadro-branded products. Both Quadro and GeForce cards come with the same heatsink, albeit in different color scheme, and “QUADRO” markings vs. “TITAN” on the aluminum-machined shroud.

...The target is at least 50% higher performance than GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition, and our sources are saying they’re now bound by the CPU. Even Core i7-6950X isn’t enough to feed all the cards and in a lot of scenarios you could see an Intel Core i7-6700K, with its supreme clock (4.0 vs. 3.0 GHz) easily feed the GP100 more efficiently than Broadwell-E based Core i7 Extreme Edition. The running joke inside Nvidia is “don’t buy the 6950X – buy 6700K and a Titan” but we’re not sure that Nvidia will use this for an official tagline. Truth to be told, they might be right – we need Intel to return to the 4-core next-gen mainstream/enthusiast and then X-core big-daddy part using the same architecture, rather than the current cadence which makes sense only if you’re working for Intel. AMD’s 8-core ZEN cannot come soon enough.

If all things go well, Nvidia should unveil GeForce GTX Titan P on Gamescom in Cologne, Germany – August 17-21, 2016.

Cool. I'm not seeing 50% though, more like 35% and the Ti at 25-30% unless AMD pulls an absolute shocker.

NV _needs_ to space the increases out over the lifetime of 14/16nm, which will be very long. I've said this before but I have no reason to believe we will get anything outside of the ordinary yearly increases which have been stuck at 25-30% for ages. The Titan can cheat this to a certain extent, but NV can't completely unleash it either considering the rest of the lineup and the next Titan release.

DICE's event included Geforce GTX 1080 PCs for the press to test Battlefield 1. Performance was impressive in its current closed alpha state, a single Geforce GTX 1080 hits >50 FPS @ 4K with Ultra settings.

In order to best experience the game, EA provided a room full of high-end PCs featuring the latest generation Intel i7 processors paired with brand new Nvidia GTX 1080 graphics cards and G-Sync monitors. And here's an interesting wrinkle - the game's settings UI, which we're told is unfinished, seems to suggest that Battlefield 1 has full DirectX 12 support, unless we've misinterpreted "ID_M_OPTIONS_DX12ENABLED = ON". There's an on/off toggle though, so those still on Windows 7/8 should still be fine. We're still awaiting confirmation of this, but we do know that Star Wars Battlefront on Xbox One used the API, and the developer has confirmed support within the engine.

Using a GTX 1080, we were eager to push settings to the max and were impressed to discover that this card is capable of running Battlefield 1 with all settings pushed to the highest values. We were able to play the game at 5120x2880 (5K) with the ultra preset engaged while still hitting frame-rates just above 30fps. The fact that such aggressive settings could be reached at all demonstrates both the power of the GTX 1080 and the optimised nature of Battlefield 1, even in its current closed alpha state.

DX12 for BF1 is awesome. Hopefully gameplay is more of a focus than in SW:BF. That game ran beautifully and it was fun for a little while but it quickly ran out of steam.

Latest and probably last round of rumors before Geforce GTX 1060 reviews (Baidu):

- TDP is around 110W
- Reference cards are clocked at 1506/1705 MHz
- Overclocks up to 2140 MHz (cap)
- Most (reference?) cards should hit 2000-2080 MHz
- Overall performance is very good, no difference to Geforce GTX 980
- There are 3GB and 6GB models
- Suggested price for them in Taiwan is NT$ 10,990 yuan (3GB), NT$ 12,990 (6GB)

Back to Geforce GTX Titan P:

Over at Beyond3D two users (including xpea, which also posts here) claim to have heard GP102 is 384-bit GDDR5X, ready for back-to-school season (Q3). Expected to reach frequencies very close to GP104, 35-45% faster in GPU bound situations.

NVIDIA’s high-end Pascal mobile graphics’ specs – codenames, power consumption, bus width and memory leaked

Yet another set of information regarding NVIDIA’s upcoming Pascal mobile chips surfaces but this time, we have the codenames and power consumption of what appears to be the GTX 970M and GTX 980M’s direct successors.

As we already mentioned, the GTX 1060 has a codename N17E-G1 with a 192-bit memory interface but our source also adds that the chip will have a power consumption of roughly 65W. If that turns out to be true, we have a slight increase of 5W on the Pascal chip but we expect much better performance. The list of GPUs continues with N17E-G2 and N17E-G3 with the former probably being the 1070 while the latter – 1080. This theory is further confirmed by their TDP – 85W for the 1070 and 125W for the 1080 as both values appear to be pretty close to their Maxwell predecessors. Furthermore, they will boast 256-bit bus width, which is in line with the 980M but the 970M gets a decent upgrade on that regard. Our source adds that they GPUs will be outed during Q3 this year so that announcement at the beginning of August seems more plausible.

But wait, there’s more. If you remember the rumor going around that the GTX 950M will get a 1050Ti successor with 128-bit memory and according to our source, the GPU will also have around 50W of TDP, although this refers only for the GPU itself without the concomitant components such as VRAM. More interestingly, the chip will have its own announcement sometime during Q4 this year so things start to get even spicier and our fascination around the GTX 1050Ti grows bigger.

* – their names are still unconfirmed but if other leaks suggesting that NVIDIA will be skipping the M at the end of their mobile GPUs turn out to be true, there will be little to no difference compared to their desktop counterparts.

GP106 is definitely not half GP104:

If you were wondering how GTX 1060 looks under the hood, look no further. It is now confirmed that GTX 1060 utilizes Pascal GP106 GPU, which is definitely smaller than GP104. What’s interesting here is lack of two memory modules on the board. It looks like there is enough space for 10 modules, meanwhile only 6 are installed on the board (6GB). Does it mean GP106 board supports up to 8GB frame buffer? Maybe the same board will be used for Quadro variants?

Maybe a 256-bit 8GB Geforce GTX 1060 Ti is in the cards?

AIBs are already announcing their custom boards (including custom PCB).

- Gainward

The difference is Gainward GTX1060 gale use 4 + 1 phase power supply, Gainward GTX1060 Herd with 3 + 1 phase power supply.

- Galax

http://vga.zol.com.cn/592/5924650.html

- Inno3D

Inno3D goes directly to clock information the way a little bit upwards. So the models GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming OC X2 and GeForce GTX 1060 iCHILL X3 work with a boost clock of 1,784 MHz (+76 MHz), the GDDR5 memory is on effective 8.2 GHz overclocked (Reference 8 GHz).

- MSI

www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-launch,32214.html

- Gigabyte

The GTX 1060 G1 GAMING is forged with the top-notch GPU cores through GIGABYTE’s very own GPU Gauntlet Sorting technology, pushing overclocking capability to the limit without compromising the system reliability. Stepping up from the reference’s 3+1 power phases, the 6+1 phase design on the GTX 1060 G1 GAMING makes the MOSFET working at a lower temperature to provide more stable voltage output for superior overclocking.

There's two GP106 GPUs. Thanks to topway @ Chiphell:

GP106- 400 -A1 DDR5 6G
GP106- 300 -A1 DDR5 3G

Considering NVIDIA only announced a Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, is that 3GB SKU a cheaper Geforce GTX 1060 or another VGA (Radeon RX 470 competitor)?

Many die shots here:

Has anyone been able to measure the die size of GP106 from the die shots floating around? It seems Nvidia has not released the official size (or number of transistors) at this time.

NVIDIA confirms suggested retail prices for GeForce GTX 1060

I think the most interesting price is for Euro-Zone countries. The MSRP for GTX 1060 Founders Edition is 319 EUR, while MSRP for custom cards is 279 EUR. For comparison RX 480 price in Euro-zone is 10 EUR lower (269 EUR).

GTX 1060 3GB?
What this table does not say is the price of 3GB model. You probably didn’t hear too much about it yet, but I can tell you that this model should be available mid-August (~3 weeks after 1060 6GB goes official), and it should probably be even cheaper than 6GB version.

I can also tell you that NVIDIA already has another card in the making, which is GTX 1050.

So I put the the GTX 1080 under water but I can't push it higher than 2126/2132/2152 Mhz. It just crashes and increasing voltage % doesn't do squat for me.

Nvidia doesn't like RMA's, so they put a stringent max on voltage. If you keep the card cool it probably does run at the max turbo clock/voltage, you can increase that clock but not the voltage with a stock card/bios.

For the 1080 water will only make it quieter and keep your card from throttling down after long gaming sessions that really stress the card, it really doesn't increase your max clock numbers.

That's a shame, putting a reference GTX 980 Ti opened up the card a lot. I was able to push it up to 1480~ MHz without flashing the bios and around 1525 MHz with a modded BIOS. Comparing my own results it seems like the max overclocked GTX 1080 is around ~15% faster than a max overclocked GTX 980 Ti.
