What I don’t get is why is NV using such reasonable prices?

Anyone currently with a GTX and in the market for a
  • 2070 should more than be willing to pay $799
  • 2080 - $1299
  • 2080Ti - $2999
  • Turing Titan - $4999
At $599, $799, $1199 (70, 80, 80Ti) these are a steal. NV fans should be thrilled to pay it. Buy an extra as I’ve got it on good authority t NV GPUs make an excellent investment.

I liked how they posted a slide that said starting at $499 with a picture of the 2080 Ti as the background.

It'll be interesting to see if we see any $499 RTX variants at launch since Nvidia's own is $599.

Ooh pricing is even better than originally stated.

  • Ti is only $999
  • 80 is $699
  • 70 is $499
Get buying!

Amazing marketing. Float a huge price increase, and then offer a small discount which is still a huge increase. Well done for the marketing.

They fooled everyone, the real prices:
clip

I don't think so. They're saying the MSRP is lower than what they're taking pre-orders at. Same thing happened when they first introduced the FE

2080 and 2070 are $100 higher, Ti is $200 higher. I wouldn't expect to be able to actually buy an RTX card at the "starting at" prices Nvidia listed until well after launch.

Nvidia has already done this misleading MSRP guidance before. They list their own cards above MSRP saying AiB partners can introduce cards at the lower price. . . except none do until well after launch. All the cards you'd actually want to buy were FE pricing or higher.

Still doing the fake MSRP that no one will adhere to at launch. GTX 1080 was $700 FE and $600 MSRP, and there wasn't a card available for $600 for months.

It's $600 RTX 2070 MSRP as far as I'm concerned until we see AIB for $500.

Guys come on, it's a presentation at a public event with the slides being already prepared before being put up. Most likely prices are going to be exactly what the website shows right now.

This is it. And the MSRP cards are going to be single fan ones with crappy heatsinks, not even a heatpipe. Or ITX versions.

Not enough!

That 2080Ti is like 10X more powerful than the 1080Ti when using NVs new RTX OPS measuring system. 10 times!

I’m currently playing Doom 2016 at 25x14 on a lowly Radeon Vega 56 and getting between 150-200FPS. Do you have any idea how much more play able that game would be with if I had a 2080Ti with 10X the RTS OPS (copyright nVidia Corporation 2018 all rights reserved)?!
