I really need to see the benchmarks. If 2080ti is that much, then are they charging $800 for the 2080?

The real winners are those that can just pick up a 1080ti because they haven't upgraded in 2-3 years. And you can get a 1440p gsync monitor for $350 from Best buy. Same model I have. Used 1080ti and monitor is less than the price of one 2080ti.

I'm not surprised with prices going up, the mining thing and ram prices gives them a perfect excuse, and the lack of competition is the main factor, we need AMD (or Intel) to do what AMD did with the CPU market last year, or it will only get worse

I predict not. NVidia wants to push RT as the next big thing, so it will be any GPU with enough die area to support it. GTX is only on the lower end where the die is too small to support the RT HW.
