look at the new pics of the quadro 4500. that's one massive cooler, I can't imagine they'd slap something like that on there simply becasue of the ram increase.

speaking of which, am I the only one that can't find clock speeds for that beast?

Well its either going to be Dual core + GPU = performance. (dual core performance increases are already claimed in the newest beta drivers, but no one seems to be observing any tangible increases)

or 7800GT, 7800GTX, 7800U.

As ive speculated earlier in this thread, im banking on Nvidia getting an itchy trigger finger with all the chips with a faulty quad waiting to be sold. They are just letting 6800GTs sell down.


The XFX 7800GT was recently spotted at ZZF for $449. (which would pin it as extremely close to release)

20 pipes, 420 core, 1ghz mem.

That's my guess as well. 2 CPU cores + GPU = power of 3. I'd say they're releasing a multithreading ForceWare driver.

From what ive heard is this

"The Power of 3" is an upcoming marketing campaign with an underlying goal that benefits the industry and consumers. NVIDIA has identified three key features that define the standard for today's graphics cards. If a graphics card does not support all three features, then it is based on "old technology."

If they come out with a 7800U or a 512mb GTX I'm going to go in the bathroom and drown myself. Spent too much money for nvidia to top thier best just over a month later.
I think most GTX owners would be pissed if an Ultra showed up this early. :|
