Actually I think the mods do care and are taking time because they want to clean it up. To make a policy against company shills takes some thinking as you don't want to ban all participation by company members.

If they cared, they would have reacted to the things he did in the past already, that is easily ban-worthy.

Ban all who discuss other things (like AEG or marketing schemes).

This is just silly. As AEG is a part of video, because they put it here. The better idea would be, to ban all who are associated with this kind of conduct. All of your 1-7 "points" are clearly favoring AEG's actions. Where as by this poll, the vast majority of people dont want it here. It seems you are a re-reg, and a troll. Just what it not needed.

As said good point and hard to dispute. Personally I think it is because he is more subtle than most give credit. He just starts flame wars and than complains to the mods about comments others make. Some people can goad others into doing out of character things and this guy is skilled. Also he does create a lot of traffic, but as the forum decends to the current base level, the flow is probably starting to reverse. :beer:

WHen it is proven, then ATI will catch their heat. For now, NVidia is in several people's targets and probably for good reasons. Nvidia is not operating correctly, if people such as Rollo gave their assesments on products THEY SHOULD HAVE DISCLOSED THEIR INVOLVEMENT WITH AEG. I've been trying to tell theses people that there's no illegality involved and from what I can tell, being a member of AEG or any other group like that is not against any rules I could find. It's unethical but used to sell everything from a dishwasher to a car. There should be more moderation in Video but finding unbiased Mods that would WANT to Moderate here is gonna be very hard indeed.

I agree Joker, but they are giving it the name Witch Hunt, because it is implying it is unjust, like the "Salem Witch Trials"... It is a subtle way to defend yourself while at the same time trying imply people are out to get you, unjustly. A means to accuse someone with no basis and giving a harsh judgement with little or no evidence.

You probably already know this (Just making sure, in case someone else hasn't a clue).

Anyway, as far as Rollo is concerned he is the one that was "Witch Hunting" other people when he accused and tried to get people banned for no reason, except that they implied that he worked for AEG... Amazing, isn't it? The one member who should have been banned isn't and tries to get others removed.

Possible, but ever heard of dial-up? Hell, with the hundreds of dial-up internet places, it wouldn't be hard to have a zillion different IP's... I mean, he only really needs one in addition to his main connection to hide. So, I would not rule that out... But I admit it might not be him, however, it certainly would be a friend of his or likely to be.
