nvidia's new 43.45 driver and pre dx8 game

has anyone ever tried to play pre dx8 game with nvidia's new driver?
i did several tests and found out that with most of pre dx8 game anti aliasing didn't work. I tried both 2x and 4x, intellisample is set to quality (middle). Various anisotropic level tested. the pre-dx8 software i tested includes:
- 3DMark 99
- 3DMark 2000
- Unreal 1 (In D3D Mode)
- Nvidia Gothic Chappel demo
- Nvidia Crystal Ball demo
- Midtown MAdness
Even though AA didn't work, there is perforcmance penalty as if AA works.

The software that where AA works as it should:
- Comanche 4 Demo
- 3DMark 2003
- Warcraft 3

Surprisingly, the AA also didn't work with Age of Mythology, although it is a DX8 game

I downloaded the driver from nvidia website, english version.
please give some input about your experiences.

My GPU is Pixelview Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128MB
Athlon XP 1700 (1.46 Ghz), Asus A7V133 (VIA KT133A), 1.5GB SDRAM PC133, Windows 2000, DX9

Nvidia's new drivers are supposedly have bugs in them because Nvidia slung them off the shelves trying to get more performance in 3DMark2003, try the 30.xx series drivers as they do not perform worse and are more compatible.

i want to confirm if other ppl using the driver also got similar experience or issit just my machine.

Y'know, I think I might be able to confirm it. I've been playing the original No One Lives Forever (DX7 game) and I was wondering why I still had all these jaggedy lines even with Quincunx AA on w/ my GeForce4 Ti 4400. Looks like I'll be going back to the 30.82 drivers again.

actually AA works on the previous driver set (41.09) beautifully. I think I'm going back to 41.09 untill the D3D FSAA problem resolved.
tried beta river 43.03 the AA also didnt work.

Amazing nVidia...whats happening. I was wondering whether to get the new drivers and was looking for some feedback. Review of these new ones seem to be sparse for some reason. Thanks.

I'm still using the 41.09 drivers for my Geforce4 TI4200. I'm going to stay with them for the mean time.

I'll hop in here with a problem I'm having with the new drivers. Ansiotropic filtering doesn't work on my system with OpenGL. Works fine for DirectX but not OpenGL. AA does work however for both. I'll be dropping back to a older version to see if that fixes it.
