in the slot where it appears the x16 pci-e slot is?
I didn't check to see if it was 16x physically, but it might be that it runs at 4x.

From the picture it looks like an x16 slot. NewEgg told me that if I bought the board, and it is in fact a x4 slot, they would give me a full refund, pay for shipping, and give me a $25 credit.

Hmmm.

fabulous customer service indeed .

Would the difference between a 16x and a 4x slot really be all that bad? 4x PCIe's bandwidth is something close to AGP 8x...

StevenNevets,

If your main intention is gaming, it would be better to spend less on cpu/memory and more on the video card. Using a Pent D 930 or X2 3800+ with DDR2-667 and getting a 7900 GT will offer you much better gaming performance.

945P does not support C2D.

There will be a 946PL chipset out soon supporting C2D.
