Did I ever say otherwise? As for company loyalty I was only pointing out that far fewer employees are willing to start at the bottom and work their way up and companies are far more likely to cut employees than they were in the past. Settle down

wow, that's crazy.. i made $8.25 in high school working as a cashier at Best Buy in 2000... Maybe min wage needs to be raised. EDIT: $15 is too high though

Wow, I made $3.10 in HS as a cashier at a supermarket in NYC. Granted, it was 1983. And we didnt have no fancy price scanners. Entered it manually. And bagged the groceries as we didnt allow the bums to bag food like they do today. Ah, the good ole days.

I dont think these people should be making much. Minimum wage is fine. I think the real problem comes from the fact they can make more by not working and being on welfare or unemployment etc. And in that case i agree with them. If i work 40 hours a week i should god damn earn more than i could not working.

So the real problem must be we are paying too much welfare and unemployment as to make that more lucrative than working for minimum wage.
