nyquill?

i was reading through the forums, and you guys suggested to use nyquill to sleep... were u referring to the cold/flu liquid pills? cause those are the ones i got, didnt see any for use for sleeping

In case you're not:
Nyquil is a flu/cold medicine. It has some really heavy-duty drowsiness side-affects, so everybody jokes about using it as a sleeping pill.

It makes you sleepy....so you can take it, then get sleepy, then go to sleep.

Just be careful man, one of my room-mates got addicted to it. Couldn;t fall asleep with out it. I would suggest something else.

dud2k - Just make sure not to overdose but it should make you feel a little sleepy. It usually takes about 1 hour for NyQuil to start kicking in for me.

Generic NyQuil gelcaps work great. Just make sure not to overdose, only take the recommended dosage and DO NOT GET addicted.

hah, only makes you sleepy from the alchohol. just buy some vodka or something. either way not a good way to get to sleep, alchohol does not lead to restful sleep, just plain unconsciousness

I was addicted for about 3-4 months, I'd take one NyQuil gelcap every night it was very effective but I'm sure wasn't good for me.

So I kicked the habit by doing more stuff in the daytime to make me tired, and set aside more time to get to sleep.

Relax you're not gonna kill yourself, just don't take it EVERY NIGHT.

Don't throw it away, get your money's worth. Maybe if you don't think it's effective then throw it away.

Just take a NyQuil gelcap whenever needed before they expire and you should be ok.

Actually before a big test is probably not a good idea since it may make you groggy and not clear headed the next morning.

How did you ever get to sleep before tonight? How long ago did you take one? Is it taking effect yet?

usually i'd sit in bed for like 3 hours before i fell asleep, what a pain =(

i wish i could just take a pill or something, and fall asleep right away instead.

Get out and do more physical activities, read a boring book, but I know it's hard to sleep. I usually stay up until 12 Midnight on the computer then 1 hour watching TV and 1 more hour trying to fall asleep because my damn brain can't stop thinking ... just wish there was an "OFF" switch I could go INTO deep hibernation every night and sleep for 3 hours, that would be so perfect!

Sleep is such a waste of time.

Did you take the gelcap with an empty stomach or full stomach?

Why not turn off the computer and try to get some sleep? Maybe that will help kick start you into sleep mode.

sh!t I suggested it in the last thread about sleep...just meant that is makes you really tired not for sleeping pill...one the same note I reccomend ALOT of alcohol...you'll be out...
