I have a HALE90 650 (80+ gold) I got when newegg had the shell shocker a while back.
- Swapped it into my system and measured draw from the wall is lower than the 380W 80+ before, so it's definitely efficient, even though my PC is pretty low load (I pull about 150W in-game for the games I play).
- I don't hear it over the other fans in my system, which aren't loud to begin with.
- The modular wiring is AWG16, which is bigger than usual, I think my previous was AWG18.
- The +4 pins on the 20+4 main ATX connector are a little bit of a pain, and it took me a bit to get that thing in. I think the +2 pins on the 6+2 PCI-E power connectors are probably the same, but I haven't had a need to use those.
Pretty much it. The HALE90 series is essentially a SuperFlower PSU with an NZXT fan in it. You can find reviews on Jonnyguru of the 850 and of the KingWin Lazer 850, which is also a SuperFlower 80+ gold supply. They score pretty well.
No complaints. I don't heavily load my system though. It was really fine with the 380W I had before and I didn't add any hardware when I switched. Bought because my wife's 5-6 year old Seasonic PSU was no longer waking up from hibernate. Was on a backup PSU for her machine, so it was time to upgrade mine and pass the leftovers down the line.
