hopeless i know exactly wut ur talkin about... u build a pc for someone and when it breaks down they blame the pc and totally ignore all the coffee splatters and cookie crumbs on it.

You should charge your friends more!, aren't they they ones who phone you up every day with "what does this mean" "where can I find this?" "my videos won't play" "this game keeps crashing" "I accidentally peed on my pc when drunk and it doesn't work" etc etc

This is only true if your friend is half way knowledgeable with computers. If they aren?t, they'll come crying to you with every computer problem they have, and if they screw something up, it can mean ALOT of troubleshooting time for you.

ahahah yea so true ... well his mom said she wants me to get 10% cuz they spent well $2300 for a 866Mhz P3 256MB PC-133 40GB HD and get this ATi Rage 128 16mb ahahah and then they got a $4200 P3 1000Mhz 256MB PC-133 Geforce GTS 64MB from gateway 1 1/2 years ago and they are fu*king up. The 866 p3 cant get online and freezes all the time and the other freezes alot also. The 866 has win2000 but internet is totally fu*ked up .... I switched the nic and even reinstalled the drivers ... everything should be ok but nope. And get this when his sis took the 1000Mhz down to college she has no sound??? Ok now i know you can plug any set of speakers into a soundblaster Live! Value so thats stupid gateways crappyness playing there

So I said I can build him a P4 1.6a and geforce 4 rig for $1k. She knows im a comp nerd cuz i was there for hours figuring out whats wrong with the systems. The big problem with the oems is that they set up the computers so no one can fix them unless its gateway. My HP rig for instance needs the OS installed first before the motherboard??? You arnt suppose to do that lol. And other sh*t like the construction of there cases completly suck ass, like in the 866 its not a standard motherboard .... its like two pieces and the agp slot is on the top right of the motherboard WTF.

And my friend is good with computers but not all, if he went through the last 2 and was kinda ok this one will be a breeze cuz now I CAN work on them and know how to fix them and not have to worry bout fu*king OEM sh*t lol. Once again thanx for your replies guys and If i have problems when I get it ill just reply and thanx again .... im about to order the parts now and I have it two day fedex and I love Fedex so it WILL come in 2 days unlike UPS .....
