This video is reminiscent of the time I went on a ride-along with a cop through parts of Oakland. He pointed out exactly where the crime was. He showed me the drug house was, prostitutes waved at us, etc. Said that they did not have the manpower to do anything about it.

Do you know anything at all about Chicago? Nearly all violent crime is located in a few geographically isolated areas. The average person really has to go out of their way to run into any issues. It's not similar to the bay area at all.

This is what happens when you have a divide between the rich and the poor. Rich people think that they are safe. Ha! The poor will come into your neighborhood to rob, steal, and kill. This lawyer who was shopping in a very wealthy area had his car stolen, and he was shot to death.

I know that. But, looking at LA, it's a sprawling metropolis and they have to go long distances to police a huge population. That means they have to have a show of force to keep people in line. I would assume that Oakland is similarly out-policed as well.
