im using the Thread 2.0 myself, as RX prescriptive

and WireTap red irridium / pewter sun glasses -- > of course when I have my contact lenses on

so I would say Oakley to go with.

I have Square Wire as well. Not polarized but i really like them. Had a pair of Ray-Bans before that but man did they scratch easily, would not recommend them! Should have realised when I went to buy them and nearly all of the ones in the shop were scratched...

1) UV protection - good quality sunglasses can help prevent eye damage if you wear them consistently.

2) Polarization - removes glare, improves visibility. VERY useful when driving.

3) Expensive sunglasses generally get pretty good support from retailers for repair/breakage. Plus, having spent all that money on them, you will handle them with due respect.

4) Oakley/Nike/etc. are surprisingly durable. I have had a pair of each (Nike, Oakley) and they hold up against things you think would scratch or damage them VERY well.

There are other reasons - main thing is I want a high quality product, and I'm not afraid to pay a reasonable price for it.

Square Wire 2.0 Spring Hinge with Polarization.

Those are nice. I debated over those and the Bolle's I ended up getting. The only thing I didn't like about those was how tight they were on the back of my head. That's why I ended up with my Bolle because they have rigid rubber arms instead of metal. Made it easier on my head.

I like my Oakley M-Frames for all purposes. They might not be stylish for non sport activities, but they provide great coverage. Being able to swap lenses is also a plus for any glasses. I swap the grey with clear when doing night riding, or when the light is just not bright enough for grey.

I love my Oakley Valve polarized sunglasses. I got them as a gift from my girlfriend.

I've got a pair of Oakley Square Wires and have owned them for a while now. Awesome shades - comfortable, durable, and they look good. You just have to take care of them like any other decent sgs.
