you're probably 15, got both your ears pierced, have a tattoo, and listen to eminem. right?

actually no, I am 23 and a software engineer with no piercings or tatoos.

images of the juliets and square wires

Good idea, bad implementation. It's just a little bulky, and very pricy. I mean come on, these things are oakley's + a $50MP3 player. 1/2 the price would be a closer to the target I think, and still be profitable.

really good ideas and its not as ugly as it might be... but its stll pretty ugly. oakleys are known to be super flashy, but this is kinda pushing it?

awesome idea. i think most of the comments so far have been misguided due to the picture of the asshat wearing them. had they been modeled on jessica alba, i'm sure all of you would have a much different opinion.

if i were a cyclist or jogger i would definitely pick up a pair. $500 is a little steep, but if it's an item i'd use every day, i wouldn't mind spending the extra cash. i'm not sure of any other applications where i'd use both my sunglases and my mp3 player at the same time. maybe the beach? regardless, the sunglasses look too cumbersome for normal usage and the mp3 player is lacking in capacity to serve as a stand alone player. (not to mention that it's integrated into the farking glasses.) these glasses are practical in applications where people need their sunglasses and their mp3 player at the same time.

Awful picture, BUT!!!!

I need something exactly like this for work, im a forklift driver on 3rd shift and we cant wear media players because of the hanging wires.

Ill have to see if these are (or can be) approved for use.

yeah...in all seriousness here, if i had his kind of money and my teeth were at different levels and such, i think i would try and get that fixed up before adding diamonds on it and such.

I'd go for some facial hair transplants too... He looks like the guy in Team America after the gave him surgery, heheh.

You all need to look at the bigger picture here. Agreed, this Oakley product is cumbersome and expensive, but we as a society are moving towards wearable computing.

Just think, in 5-10 years, you'll see a picture of similar-looking glasses, but instead of a measly 256MB flash mp3 player, you'll have a 10Ghz, AMD 128-bit CPU, 6.0GB of RAM, integerated ATI Radeon X15000 videocard, THX/simulated 6.1 surround sound, noise-cancelling headphones, twin eye-piece LCDs simulating a 30" wide screen, built-in WiFi, built-in BlueTooth, built-in cellphone...all in a small package that is air-cooled by the wind in your hair and is controlled by brainwaves and the movement of your eyes.

Disclaimer: may give you a brain tumor!

sometimes I think Oakley just makes some crazy models just to say they have them. Take for example the Over The Tops. Ugly as sin and have probably sold 2-3 since their release, but Oakley still carries them and claims that it's "cutting edge"...

Couldn't you just use some type of bluetooth headset?

They don't? I just assumed since they had them for cell phones, they would have them for mp3 players as well.

those actually look pretty good. But, the sides would have to be thicker to accommodate the mp3 player components I'd think.

side note: what modeling program did you use to make those?
