lol looks like im the only freak who would prefer to use milk over water in their oatmeal.

you might need to play around with the consistency. I like mine with a little less water if I'm not using whey. Not really a big fan of plain oats in general. I need some sweetner or at least some fruit in there. You can try adding in nutella or something.

Milk with a bit of salt. Milk is always almost better than water : oatmeal, tomato soup, hot cocoa mix.... milk always wins.

Yes, water and a pinch of salt, like a normal person. You must be a communist. :hmm:

I've only ever made it with water. Just boil some water in a kettle and add the desired amount.

I never use salt but ample cinnamon. I will sweeten with brown sugar if available, raisins, or semblance of a fruit. I do like vanilla light soy milk (supposedly good for men's prostrate) ... in a pinch just oatmeal + water & only a little sugar.

You probably like to eat glue paste out of a jar with the stick, because that's what comes to mind on oatmeal cooked in milk.

Do you pour water in your cold cereal? Then why do it to your hot cereal?

Only in ATOT could people screw up oatmeal. The salt removes the bland taste. We're not talking enough to make it salty mkay? RTFSideOfTheBox!

Alright guys, oatmeal question for you.

I love the Maple and Brown sugar flavored oatmeal (with water, thank you), but its ridiculously expensive in the packs (I usually eat 3 sometimes 4 packs at a time ).

Anyone have any good recipes to take some quick oats and give it a similar flavor? Closest ive been able to get is using brown sugar and some imitation maple (no kidding, to make it maple and brown sugar flavored ), but its still not really that close. Tried some cinnamon too.

Anyone have any solid oatmeal recipes? Its getting cold out here, and freezing where I work, itd be nice to have a cheap solid meal in the morning.
