I don't know anyone on welfare either, and while I'm not sure of the situation where you live, there hasn't been any cash payments to "welfare" recipients here for many years, so I'm not sure how people on "welfare" would be financing all that stuff. The most you could hope for here would be some help with your rent and a few hundred bucks worth of food stamps. Oh, and some government cheese from the food shelf once a month. Stop lying.

Not every state has "medical assistance", and to qualify for it in some you literally have to be destitute, working part time for $5 an hour, or no way will you qualify. There are millions of people who don't have health insurance because they can't afford it, or they are locked out by their pre-existing conditions. I don't know how old you are, or if you have ever tried to buy insurance on your own, but you might be shocked at what it really costs when an employer isn't paying for most of it for you. It's not unusual for a family of four to have to come up with $2000 a month for premiums. If you're a single person in your 50s, you could be looking at $1200 to $1500 a month. Is the average person really supposed to be able to pay that? Could you?

2000 a month for a family of 4. Thats 24000 a year. If you have two people working minimum wage, thats 300000 a year. 30000 is more than 24000.

There are a ton of programs people can get along with "welfare". I had a guy working for me a while back whose sister would help you navigate the system in order to maximize your benefits, for a fee of course.

One of them I recall hearing about was something he called a "crazy check". Basically you get your kid diagnosed with ADD (not very hard to do) and you get a monthly check. I haven't verified it but he said he knew a ton of people getting them. If you go to the right grocery store on the right days of the month you can get your groceries paid for by someone with foodstamps and you pay them cash (50 cents on the dollar). They even go shopping with you.

I know here one abuse for the medical system is to simply show up with no papers and don't speak any english. They have all nationalities working our free clinics down here. All you need to do is find a local halfway house/shelter address and give that. It's doubtful the person will be at the same place twice anyway.

I am sure there is more to the story, but there is nothing 'we' can do here to stop it as long as we are allowing illegals to still get medical care for at least their kids or if they have kids.

Personally I think one of the only ways to stop this is to REQUIRE anyone living somewhere to be required to prove how at least one of them is covering all the bills with some income/bank account. If one can't meet all the income, then go on to the next living there...so on.

Also we need to close the 'overnight' loophole which basically says you aren't living anywhere if you are not parking overnight...most of these types just go out on the streets/clubbing all night.

We have a million dollar + home being sub leased from the buyer in one of our communities. There are about 8 dudes their with luxury and a couple exotics. They all just park on the main lawn all day and each boom their cars with the same songs. Police can't do anything and none stay overnight usually. The police have stated as far as they know none of these guys have jobs, however; they cannot persue that as it's more a federal issue than local PD services. The true owner stated they pay him with cashier's checks each month. He isn't necessarily breaking any rules either. However, they are voting to change the HOA rules to not allow any sub-leases or rooms for rent.
