Sorry to burst your bubble, the right is in no way "jealous" of him, the NPP just became about as meaningful as the "Best Pumpkin Grown In Wabash County Indiana" award -- it's complete garbage. Why would anyone be jealous of someone else getting garbage?

one of the most retarded things in history.

I thought that Obama was not yet taking responsibility... or is he just not taking responsibility of the economy?

Better watch it, Obama might win that one next on the coat tails of his Nobel.

I don't buy that argument especially how the GOP was totally bitchslapped in '08. This is just rubbing salt in a the GOP's gaping festering open wound.

Well really... you'd actually have to seed, water, grow and harvest the best pumpkin in Wabash County to win that award. So really the NPP is now worth about as much as an award in one of those kiddie sports leagues where everyone gets a trophy.

If by "rubbing salt in a the GOP's gaping festering open wound" you mean "winning an award he had absolutely no right to win due to insufficient accomplishments," you are correct.

Over 100k U.S. troops in Iraq? Check.
Gitmo still open? Check.
Indefinite detention? Check.
More troops likely headed to Afghanistan and the Taliban threat getting worse every day? Check.
Palestine and Israel still fighting? Check.
Somalia still in turmoil? Check.
Most of Africa still impoverished, dying of AIDS, and/or fighting? Check.
Global economy still in recession? Check.
Healthcare still jacked-up in the U.S.? Check.
Gays still banned from serving in the world's best military? Check.
Human rights violations occurring almost daily in China? Check. Saudi Arabia? Check Check. 50 other nations? Check Check Check.
Iran still working on nuclear technologies? Check.
North Korea and South Korea still technically at war? Check.
North Korea testing nuclear weapons? Check.
Pointless embargo on Cuba? Check...
...
...
All of that may be true; but, I did get a great deal on a Toyota through the CFC program! THANKS OBAMA!

Hey, someone give that man a prize!

Whaaaaaa. It's almost comical that your hatred is directed towards anyone other than Bush. Almost.
I absolutely despise George W. Bush, which is why I "voted for change."

I'm still waiting -- we all are -- to witness said change, which is what makes this NPP award so fucking ridiculous.

Awesome to hear. At least you have your head on straight. Both of them suck.

He could possibly accomplish more if the obstruction party would add something constructive to the mix instead of NOTHING.

Ah yes, the blame game. I should've known this was coming.

Prizes shouldn't be handed out based on "well, he COULD'VE done this BUT" or "he WOULD'VE done this BUT," nor should prizes be handed out with the logic "Oh well, he'll earn it, just you wait and see!" Prizes should be handed out based on actual accomplishments. Think of what Jimmy Carter did to get his Nobel and compare it to Obama. No contest.

Hey, someone give that man a prize!

I agree it's premature, but by your metric no one should ever receive this award.

As a dimocrat, I just love this thread.

If nothing else, all those right wing minds absolutely imploding in denial.

Its like a tight neck and neck auto race and suddenly the right most car comes up with 4 flat tires. The only thing that is missing is Wile E. Coyote with the flat tires, Obama as roadrunner, and the beep beep sound effect.

Lordie, I love the smell of blown minds in the morning. And it lingers still undiminished in the afternoon.

So you think he did something tangible to earn this award? The righties might have just had their minds blown but some of the lefties here are showing they have no mind to blow. Seriously.
