Well my local talk radio idiots were in a frenzy this morning because of Obama's support for fighting Communism and the Marshall plan but he doesn't support the continued occupation of Iraq.
I was pretty stunned I thought perhaps I was stuck in a time warp from 2004. Then a Marine called into the show and proceeded to tear this guy to shreds, as per usual, Talking Head hangs up on him, then goes into a 30 second tirade making up hypothetical questions and answering himself....then to close the issue, says, "I bet you're not even a Marine!!".
Just more invented outrage. One thing is for sure though, I don't think anyone in the McCain camp is going to challenge Obama to go overseas again.
Having been a long time Republican, holder of long lost conservitive ideals, I take great delight in watching the apoplectic Limbaugh's and the wind-up surrogate puppets of the McCain/Cheney/Bush bunch lament how unfair this all is.
Call it momentum, good fortune or sorcery. They are now calling Obama the anti-christ, which is funny since they obviously don't know the actual Christ, who was a Jew. Obama is walking the world stage and has siezed the interest and imagination of its people.
Whine all you want, phony 21st century conservatives. Take your money and run. Your brand is about to expire, and the party will need to reform and rebuild;. Hopefully, the Religious righties will spin-off into their own party, and a new strain of Republicans will be relevant again.
Obama is no messiah, (which is the still their tired old narritive spouted) but at least he's an adult walking upright and able to communicate, and apparently he's bright enough to have formed a more comprehensive world view than our current buffoon. Outdoing the McCain/Cheney/Bush administration's "compassion" has already occurred.
McCain's campaign internally derides Obama as "the One" since their guy obviously Isn't.
