Do you think Obama doesn't play the fear card when he touts McCain as 4 more years of Bush?
Yes, but not in the same way and not nearly as low. Obama's fear card is one which allows the public to make their own opinion based on comparable history between their platforms and voting records. No one is forcing anyone to hate Bush and all of his policies. If you don't like Bush then you probably will not like McCain is what Obama is saying. On the other hand, McCain is playing the fear card strictly on the assumption that people are not educated about what socialism really is and how it negatively and positively effects a country. He is also assuming that most people will not take the time to find out beyond reading a few internet blogs and maybe the wiki at best. He is right to assume so. In other words, his strategy revolves around people being stupid and remaining stupid. One hell of a leader right there!

Nobody wants 4 more years of Bush so let's all be afraid that McCain is actually a Bush clone because he has an (R) behind his name...oh noes!!!
That is not why they fear he will be a Bush clone. Personally, while I fear him being a Bush clone in the sense of him being on the offensive side of many military strategies over seas, what I also fear is that he will be another Reagan if not much worse. I very much disapprove of Reaganomics. I find more informed people fearing that than they do fearing another Bush. Those who are uninformed just fear another Bush. So, pick your poison. Both are nasty.

And, unlike McCain, Obama doesn't want "votes no matter how they come"? Give me a break.
Maybe I missed something. Where did I say he didn't? Regardless, this campaign has shown which candidate is willing too stoop lower. Whether or not Obama would do the same thing if in McCain's shoes is something that we will never know. Action speaks louder than speculation.

And please tell me just how should McCain go about helping "America make a educated and responsible voting decision"?
He could start by not trying to sell the ludicrous idea that Obama is a socialist and instead just explain that Obama supports progressive taxation and one which is not terribly aggressive or foreign in this country. He could even go as far as to come out and state that what Obama wants is not socialism knowing very well that it could help his campaign by not driving the fears of the people into believing that his desire to spend 300 billion on bad mortgages is socialism and that Palin's historic windfall tax is socialism.
He is throwing bricks inside of a glass house. It is retarded and I am tired of fear mongering. I can accept pointing out fundamental differences as to why one way might be better than another, but look what is happening using his tactics. A lot of people seriously believe that a vote for Obama is like some sort of gateway drug to Venezuela. It is absolutely preposterous and America thriving on fear needs to end. America's lack of confidence in itself and its government needs to end.
