When the OP read Dickens he must have laughed as Oliver begged for more gruel, and was viciously beaten for it, while the rest of us felt sorry for him. He could be suggesting that all poor people should be similarly treated. Or perhaps he is implying that, as a black man, Obama will always be lower class and pathetic in his eyes.
