A man takes a Ebola infection woman to a Liberian hospital - she soon dies of Ebloa... He is exposed to the deadly disease and knows it ... he quits his job - likely used their credit card to charge is airline ticket - lies to Liberian authorities about exposure, then off on a convoluted journey to Dallas, Texas, USA... Shows up sick at a local hospital -- then misdiagnosed - goes home - gets sicker - goes back to the hospital spreads bodily fluids everywhere in and outside the apartment, on the sidewalk, in the ambulance, in the emergency room all done TWICE... No HAZMAT clean up done anywhere, ambulance reused for at least 2 days, some guy with no protective clothing is pictured using a pressure washer outside the apartment to clean it up, another guy is seen with no protective clothing handing a bag of food through the door of the man's family... the family ordered to stay in their apartment (instead of being isolated in a confinement facility - shows signs that won't faithfully obey the order to stay at home - so police guards are ordered to keep them there....

And obama says via his press secretary thinks medical experts will handles all this,,, correctly. SURE YEAH - RIGHT -- just like they did this time ... FOOLS total FOOLS....

AND NOW: TA DA ..... !!!!

At the very least they should be Quarantined/Tested before leaving the Airport.

All flights from the effected regions should be stopped. If you choose to go and help fine. 30 day mandatory quarantine when you attempt to come back. Period, No exceptions at your own expense.

People are far too panicked about Ebola.

The common Flu is thousands of times more deadly, yet I don't see anyone worrying about that. People are simply scared of the unknown, but that's not a good enough reason to change policy.

West Africa has a problem with Ebola, mainly because of lack of resources and knowledge, but Ebola is very easy to contain if it does come to a country like the US.

Obama letting people who have a clue do their job? Oh no! Next week someone will suggest that he stop breastfeeding you and maybe let you use a sharp knife to cut your food.

Are you interested in making a case for allowing it in through say, half a dozen major airports? The advantages of continuing the current practice? Why would we want to willfully allow people into the country that have been exposed to Ebola? Make a case for it.

Yeap. The disease is sensational and unknown, therefore it is making people think and act hysterically.

How can Obama restrict flights from the countries where ebola is currently active when there are no direct flights to the US? At best the Immigration Department could suspend all vistor visas from those countries.

Maybe we should deploy carriers and fighter jets and shoot down any planes flying and and out?

Seriously though can the OP play the sky is falling game anymore than he already is?

Ebola isn't even the threat. Even if it could take half the population, we're the ones who'd take the other half. When push comes to shove it's a dog eat dog world and we're well versed in tribalism.

The OP is asking for a logical step in isolating and containing something people are afraid of. Something that kills more than half its victims. I do not disagree with a quarantine of west Africa.

The common flu is not thousands of times more deadly. What it is is less common. As far as thinking and acting hysterically-

Maybe Obama should run your health care then. Clearly he knows more than those who know about these things.

You left out deadly and communicable.
Taking appropriate containment measures isn't an hysterical response, it's sensible.

You're right. Taking appropriate containment measures is a good idea. People on here are mostly offering hysterical containment measures, however.

I'm going to say that the CDC has a better idea of what appropriate measures are than we do.

What we can see is that Ebola is so infectious that it can attack and infect the CBD simply by knowing some liberal somewhere is involved in making decisions about what to do about it. Unfortunately, and of course only for the rest of us, this form of transmission is not fatal.

At present, the only known cure for the CBDive form of the disease is immersion in a sensory deprivation tank accompanied by the administration of massive doses of Paxil.

Logic, reason, and factual scientific information about the actual degree of threat to Americans have proven useless against the CBD form of the disease where infection rates have reached into the millions, all of whom will acquire in the process of infection no antibodies whatsoever to protect them from the next wave of CBD psychosis, whatever preposterous form it may take, to sweep the Nation. God help us to find a cure for this horrible disease.

From the article I read about the Dallas guy, he was stopped three times and tested by CDC guys using FDA approved equipment before departing the airport.

There's some speculation he may have lied about his contact with Ebola-infected individuals.

Don't worry though. If it takes over the world, Madagascar will survive.
