I'm a lifetime supporter of the Crazy Horse Memorial, it's right down the road and open for business.
http://crazyhorsememorial.org/

I do want to see Crazy Horse--it was barely open when I went by that area and hell, couldn't even find the entrance.

I say demolish Rushmore because it is fugly and give it back to the Sioux, who rightfully should own it, and make Crazy Horse the destination.

Do you have a reading comprehension issue? That quote doesn't say what you claim it does. Please edit your post to reflect what I actually said.

logically, one would have to ask where disease came from. If following your belief that this God created everything, one would rightfully conclude that God created disease.

so, this deity creates disease, and humans, and disease that kills humans, and gives humans the ability to learn how to fight disease.

...I mean, I can see how this kind of thing worked on the illiterate masses several hundreds of years ago, but aren't we better than this now?

I already quoted what you said. You think the magical sky fairy created humans, put them on the earth, and gave them a purpose to discover cures to diseases which he created.

I have heard a lot of dumb claims by theists over the years, and this is right up there with humans walking alongside dinosaurs.

That is a religious view, but it certainly isn't the only view that their can be. Some people do believe that God created every single thing that has ever been or will be. Others believe that God created the system of life and gives us what we need to solve our own problems.

And if we can get off your religious hatred for a few minutes, none of this addresses the larger point that religious people don't believe in vaccines. That was an a false statement by Juddog and all of this nonsense is his or her simply trying to justify bigotry.

I can point to plenty of religious people who get all of their vaccines, and I can point to plenty of atheists who don't (autism). The bottom line is this whole subdiscussion was based on a false premise.

The false premise that there is a sky fairy when there is absolutely zero evidence - correct.

fair enough, but this entire thread was based on a false premise: that breitbart or "conservativewatchtower" or whatever the fuck that is are valid sources worthy of anyone's attention.

Maybe so, however that doesn't change the fact that Juddog is an idiot. See above.

The hatred that some atheists have for theists is truly astounding. They are every bit as guilty of bigotry as the worst church you can point at.

Given the number of mass murders, mayhem and oppression arising from the theists against EVERYBODY not just like them, are you really that surprised?

What scores of atheists refusing vaccines? I'm waiting on your new straw man.

Yeah because so many atheists go around flying planes into buildings.

http://www.atheistalliance.org/news-a-articles/archive/662-the-church-of-anti-vaccination One example of many. Google is your friend. Ironically, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...=bd79JYv36xdHO0v4EWiu2g&bvm=bv.53760139,d.aWc most religion "encourages" vaccination and even makes exemptions to religious tenants to allow for them.

To your second point, 95% of the world agrees that Muslim Extremists have coopted portions of their religion and do not represent the teachings of Mohammed. Welcome to the fringe?

In this context, yes. Juddog is clearly wrong and just won't give up.

I thought athiests were supposed to be so open, smart, and educated. Evidence to the contrary, I suppose.

Like either of you would know.

I do, however, like you acknowledging that Juddog is wrong and I should show him mercy.

sounds like they do know. Pretty sure Jesus wasn't into 'owning people all day'. I could be wrong though.

Well at least the tribalism in this thread has moved away from politics and into religion. That's always refreshing.

Yup. Watching religious idiots get owned never really gets old though.

Frigging conservatives..... and what happens if somebody goes into the park and gets hurt?

They're talking about turnoffs on the road near the park. I'm guessing you're not familiar with those. They have nothing to do with the park.

All the trained professional rescue support personel have been laid off. I suppose the conservatives would have the pros do it for free. In this sue happy society, there is clearly a good reason to mark these parks as off limits.

No, the professional rescue personnel have not been laid off, not by Uncle Sam anyway. They don't work for the federal govt; they're private.

The rest are volunteers and operate under county sheriffs' departments.
