The conservatives have been working their asses off for 5 straight years, doing their absolute damndest to tank the economy. If they had just rolled over and let Obama implement his plans, we would be in even better shape than we are now.

Now the conservatives are getting dirtier than ever. They see a robust DJIA and realize that if it continues as is for a few more years, the Democrats will cream them in the next election cycle. For purely partisan reasons, they are actively trying to detonate the US economy with this latest move. They are quite literally, EVIL parasites. To coalesce power unto themselve they are willing to harm all of America. The treasonous conservative bastards should be dragged out of their lairs, tried, convicted and executed.

You're cute when you're irrational

During Bush's presidency the DJIA was a symbol of the rich getting richer despite the downfall of the economy, while now under Obama it is a sign of a healthy and robust economy for all citizens?

The stock market (and more specifically the DJIA) are NOT the economy. Helecopter Ben and his magic printing press are the only reason stocks look so good, the rest of the economy is not improving.

There is no other explanation for it, bshole is DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. That is the only other person I have ever heard talk that highly of Obama, or anyone for that matter.

Not sure if you are serious but the DJIA is on shaky ground. The second the FED mentions that they may stop injecting billions into Wall St., the DJIA drops. I don't think you will get anyone defending your statements about a robust DJIA.

Obama is so bad I'm considering suicide. What alternative is there for a person of my moral caliber, to be so right and to take opinions seriously. You don't think I hold Obama is such contempt and would dignify living in the same world with him, do you? All of us Obama haters must kill ourselves with all ethical haste rather than live with the knowledge of that slime's existence. Let us enlightened folk take our balls and go home to a better place. Let only the hypocrites who love but love to whine remain.

Time to storm the citadel boys. The Republicans are not responding to us. I think we need to stick some foot in that ass......

The ABC News/Washington Post poll, meanwhile, found that 70 percent of Americans disapprove of the way congressional Republicans are handling negotiations over the federal budget, while just 24 percent approve. (Last week, 26 percent approved of the GOP’s handling, and 63 percent disapproved.)

But Obama actually improved slightly in the ABC/Washington Post poll. Forty-five percent of U.S. adults said they approve of his handling of negotiations over the budget, up from 41 percent before the shutdown.

I call your poll and raise you by an economic poll..

That doesn't look like the kind of data that would make a President think he had some sort of mandate. Unless that President thought they were some kind of King.

Eh, ignoring the general pettiness at the heart of this thread, has anyone actually been to Mt Rushmore?

It is probably the lamest tourist trap that has ever wasted my time and money. I encourage every one to never go there.

What is particularly amazing is how his approval rating has slid through most of 2013, as the stock market and "unemployment rate" have "improved".

Perhaps they perceive a slight deception, even if they cannot quite put their finger on it :

Obama Revives Space Program to Shut Down National Park on the Moon

“The government is shut down. All 17 percent of it,” said National Park Service spokeswoman Sequoia Jackson. “We’ve barricaded national monuments and the ocean. We evicted restaurants and homeowners living on Federal land. We don’t know how else to get the message across that the government is shut down and there is no money except by launching an emergency 2 trillion dollar mission to plant barricades on the moon.”

The crash program to reach the moon before the shutdown ends and plant barackades on it has already begun. Four non-essential furloughed Federal workers, selected for their diversity of races, sexual orientations and gender identities, underwent rapid weightlessness training in the back of a UPS truck hurtling down the hill to make a rush delivery.

Despite the government shutdown, Tesla Industries was given an immediate 2 trillion dollar contract to construct a space vehicle by the end of the weekend. Government spokesmen denied that the contract had anything to do with its founder and CEO’s generous donations to Obama.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled plans for the NPS Barackade this afternoon. The plans were drawn in crayon on a TGI Friday’s placemat, but look no less impressive for that.

“The NPS Starship Barackade will have twelve Green engines powered by piles of recycled laptop batteries,” Musk told reporters while nibbling on an egg and cheese sandwich. “It will recycle its wastes. Its outer skin is made of recycled aluminum from all the Tesla cars that burned up. Its rocket booster is powered by the recorded screams by Al Gore and Howard Dean. Its navigation system is lifted from a driving App we found at the App Store.”

Considering the site's source is:

which makes your response completely worthless. Congratulations.

The story in your link offers the explanation for the cones. According to the folks who placed the cones it was not to block access. All else is political posturing by a politician working for a Republican governor, you know, the same Republican Party that shut down the parks in the first place.

In other words, yet another faux outrage fabricated by Republican liars.

The ability of the government to run without any of the people from any of these agencies on the clock is prompting some watchdog groups to question why, then, do the agencies need to exist in the first place?

“Think of all the money we could save as a nation,” Judicial Watch said in an Oct. 7 post. “Besides bringing attention to these largely unheard of agencies, the shutdown – caused by Congress’s inability to agree on a funding bill – is also shedding light on just how bloated the federal government is, with an astounding workforce that’s seen nearly 800,000 furloughed this week.”

Maybe not unimportant in all cases, but most likely redundant.

I provided that link because it was the link used in the original article, showing CrackRabbit he was full of B.S. when he made the derisive comment that Breitbart was the source.

Now you come along and double-down on the stupid!

If you truly believe that the most logical explanation for the cones being placed on the highway on October 1 was to help show cars the path to the viewpoint, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you.

Breitbart is offered as a source in the OP, silly.

The park shuts down on Oct 1st, right? There are still tons of folks driving BFOs who still want to see the heads and maybe snap a pic or two, right? The overlook offers that opportunity. So the folks pull their sixty foot BFOs into the overlook, still following me? Then the next and the next BFO pull in, and there are lot of them because, you know, the Republicans closed the park and these folks can't enjoy the heads from where god intended. Next thing you know there is traffic blocking the highway as BFOs spill out of the rather small parking area. The NPS folks foresaw this very occurrence, because, you know, they deal with BFOs every single day that the Republicans let them do their jobs and not shut the parks down and so placed cones along the highway to guide in the overlook traffic, and hopefully prevent backups on the highway exactly as they said.

Then along comes a Republican party hack to make up shit to feed the Republican narrative (lie) that any negative impacts of the Republican shutdown are merely petty moves by the Obama administration. And, like clockwork, the Republican rage machine picks up the lie and runs with it, ultimately depositing this little pile of poop here in P&N.

Yes, part time employment rose while full time employment fell as part of the greatest Repub policy induced financial catastrophe since 1929.

You expected different?
