Well I think he was pretty ticked after that press conference, didn't go how he wanted it.

He probably caught a glance of Katie Couric on one of the TVs in the back. She looks bad tonight -- HD is not being kind to her.

That press conference was utter and complete drivel.

Skipping through the cable new analysis, even MSNBC is trashing his message and performance, Maddow and Fineman ignore the health care issue and concentrate on racial profiling. Huh?

O'Reilly can't understand what Obama said for the past hour and is having Dick Morris explain Obama's statements.

I think I am going to stick on Fox to see Dennis Miller. At least he is funny.

This quote from an AP article is like music:

".....His stepped-up public role comes as he faces rising criticism from Republicans, sliding public approval ratings and divisions within his party. Obama acknowledged that many people are uneasy about growing federal budget deficits and the fast-rising government debt."

Oh Jesus Christ, our existing health care system has been broken for three decades, yet opponents stick to the staus qao.

Get real idiots. Were I Obama, I would put it far stronger than he did.

Wrong very few people think there should not be reform. The issue people have is the Nancy pelosi reform. All she wants to do is soak the rich to insure people ignoring the bigger issue. There is no cost savings in the democratic bills. The reform is nothing like candidate Obama talked about. When the democrats gets serious about cost reduction people will side with them. When you lower costs the other things will work themselves out. Obama could fix this by submitting a bill that does what he ran on in the election. Instead he let the far left write these POS bills.

I'd rather have Nancy Pelosi reform than no reform.

Please stay on topic to the press conference. Please? Otherwise it will descend into a YAHCT.

On topic - Obama cannot dictate the legislative branch and seems frustrated to me in this conference by the resistance from the people and our representatives.

I doubt I'd be half as loaded as when I listened to a Bush speech and drank whenever he mentioned terrorist or 9/11.

And my aren't those sick and dying people profitable, how dare they think we shouldn't make a huge(ever increasing) profits off these desperate people thats the american way. Of course it just doesn't make good business sense to cover the retired and dying so we'll leave that to medicare and use it as an example of how not to run a business and how government fails at healthcare

Besides my moral objection to profiting from the misfortune of others (evidently shared by most of the civalized western world), The current system is just pure evil in the name of capitalism. As long as your healthy enough to work a private company not of your choosing will rape your pocketbook for insurance that may or maynot cover you soley based on their descrestion in the case of catostrophic illness during your working prime (but don't think about changing jobs if you have any medical history). But when you retire or become disabled off to Medicare you go and let them pay the bills for the most expensive care of a persons life

Refreshing to see someone as informed and articulate talk on the subject.

He's off teleprompter now, you must be on a big delay.

I am watching him answer questions.
Amazing.

I'm watching his body language and his eyes. The constant eye blinking is the sign of somebody who is lieing and is unsure of his statements.

Your constant posting and minute by minute updates are a sign of somebody who desperately needs to go outside. Seriously, get a tissue before you spooge all over your keyboard.

The press conference was fine. Opened up the possibility of delaying past August, explained that he understands that budget issues are a legitimate concern, demonstrated that while in public they appear against him Republican ideas are being incorporated into the bill. Also had a few lighthearted moments that only the cynical are finding reasons to get all uppity about. I'd go on but you don't really care what anyone who disagrees with you thinks.

Yeah, let those health care companies raise profits by 1000% in 5 years while screwing americans over, killing them! That is what profit and business is all about! How dare he care!?!?

Let them continue to cancel coverage of cancer patients because of acne. PROFITS $$$$! The american way!

What do you not get about how it is immoral to make 1000% profit off of denying coverage-killing people?

Here is a thought you braindead hick, how about we eliminate the profits and actually help our fellow countrymen?

Why don't you stop jerking off here to the tune of 40k posts and do something productive with your life and actually help people rather than bitch and moan here about everything under the moon in your mother's basement?

Please take your YAHCT misinformation elsewhere. Please? Please can we make this about the conference?

I can see that this conference was meant to push his agenda, regarding health insurance. But if you watched it I'd say 1/3 to 1/2 of it was related to that. I mean I didn't even get drunk off the keywords in my OP, so my OP failed on some levels.

His winning point in just a few words.
The current status "is not" a winning, sustainable option.
Costs of his plan, a gov plan, cannot or should not be compared
to the current plan.
Some people believe things are just great now.
Just wait 5 years when your employer drops healthcare
as too costly of a benefit. THEN what will YOU do???
(I know... cry for a gov healthcare plan. Ops... too late)

I do care, that's why I'm listening to everything he says before the sides get to make their points. I care very much what is happening to our country. If I didn't I wouldn't be watching this and instead tune into american idol or something.

I care very, very, very much.

Are you serious?!? Pelosi reform over no reform? You realize the Pelosi is the ultimate incarnation of idiotic CA politics... the same politics that have landed CA in the huge mess they are in.

I wouldn't let anyone from CA touch anything right now... tell them to shut up and just vote on shit... or not (even better).

The concept of fiscal responsibility is complete foreign to Pelosi.

Does it count if I got drunk anyway? Is that like a successful failure? Or a multi-level failure.
