Even if am disappointed with Obama in many ways, it seems to me that PC Surgeon starts this thread with a number of highly defective assumptions.

(1) Just because Obama falls short of many expectations, is no rational reason to vote for Whatever the opposition is. Meaning at least im my case, I went to vote on 11/2012, and had to hold my nose to vote for Obama. I certainly wanted a better choice, but when I looked at the GOP and the Fibertarians, suddenly the epic fail in this PC Surgeon post becomes apparent. Simply because, when I looked at the not Obama alternatives, Obama for all his warts and flaws, suddenlly looked much better compared to his opposition.

(2) Then PC Surgeon gets really really pathetic, by citing a 315 question survey on what is wrong with Obama. And basically is graded on the 'TRUTH" by the set of the craziest wackadoodles known to man. Birthers, truthers, flat earther, Karl Rove propagandist, the list is almost endless, As PC Surgeon rests the validity of his post on the wackadoodle foundation.

Thanks, PC Surgeon for playing the you bet your own credibility game, But I think you came up with a real loser this time. Try again, you surely can't do worse.

This is a game that both sides play all the time. YouTube is filled with videos from people at either Republican or Democratic rallies on tape getting basic facts wrong, etc.

Hell, judging from what people post on here I'm willing to bet if you sat most of this forum down and hit them with some questions they would get a lot wrong. This just serves to make Obama's opponents feel that they are smarter than his supporters. Chances are you aren't. If you are a Ron Paul supporter, chances are really high you aren't.

I'll give them a bit of credit for being better than most at this type of thing. I think they did a fair job of representing the average person's ignorance on these issues (not making a case either way, they are definitely opposed but weren't evangelizing). Some of the people they interviewed were actually pretty knowledgeable.

If anything they maybe cherry picked people who seemed informed of most stuff but ignorant about drone strikes

As for the game show, some of the questions were weak. Like not giving it to the guy for answering 2 instead of 3. The point is more that it is happening at all

Oh look its my stalker! Why dont you ever debate instead of resorting to insults?

Puttin' on your persecution complex? Your cloak on Martyrdom?

What's there to debate in your random selection of Libertopian talking points, anyway?

How is anti-colonialism anti-freedom, anyway? Do people not have the right of self determination?

From past experiences you have been rather vicious with your attacks towards me.

Go ahead and make fun of the principles that America was founded upon and made it so great

Anti-Colonialism is important because it explains a lot of the views that obama has.

The beauty of wing nuttery is apparently the ability to hold contradictory opinions, resolve cognitive dissonance with denial.

You just did it, again, yet can't seem to comprehend the fact that you have. You just dodged the question, that's all, even after whining about receiving ridicule rather than debate. That's why you get ridicule.

Try answering the question- How is anti-colonialism anti-freedom, anyway? Do people not have the right of self determination?

Or will you defend the anti-democratic rationale behind Colonialism?

low information voters. They believe alarmist propaganda about the sky is falling (global cooling / warming / seasonal climate change. They want dope. And they voted for the obama. Their lives are all about alarmism / intoxication / voting in popularity contests and "feeling" rather then thinking. They are the cockroaches of society. Frantically scurrying about in a alarmist cold sweat looking for anything to latch on to.

Shame on you for plagarizing factual commentary originally referring to fringe loony conservatives.

During the inauguration a group from We are change set out to see what Obama's supporters know about their president. They offered $100 to the first person to answer 3/5 questions correctly. Drone strikes, NDAA and Patriot act were some of the questions. How lightly these people chose their president shows why we are where we are today. Ignorance is bliss I recon.

Would you have gotten three right?

I would love to see how much money they gave away from all the edited parts.

Although after seeing everything in op's post it is funny to attack one side when the other started everything he listed.

One could say the same about Paul supporters regarding any of his wackadoo ideas that would lead to our country's utter destruction. Or Romney, or the lies about Reagan, or plain lies about the Republican party back to Eisenhower. Or lies about Libertopianism in general.

The fact is that a large portion of the population vote for the "likeable" guy or the one that has the best sound bites or the ones that espouses some idea about some utopian vision of the world. This is nothing new.

What ideas are those?

Well, I'd wager that the same can be said of supporters of Governor Romney about how well they knew their candidate.

I am disappointed in the continued use of drone strikes because every relative of a real person who is just another collateral damage tick to our government is now a potential supporter of terrorist acts against the U.S.

I know that President Obama hasn't addressed adequately the major issues that were becoming Martin Luther King's focus alongside the Civil Rights movement.

I also know that there is a major difference in the types of judges that President Obama has nominated to the SCOTUS and the types of judges that Governor Romney might've nominated if he was elected.

These nominations are perhaps the most lasting ways that Presidents can influence the course of this country. For that I am thankful that Governor Romney did not win the election.

Newsflash! Some people who voted Democrat are morons. Some people who voted Republican are morons. More than 50% of the population has a lower than average or tied with average IQ.

And in other news, the sky is blue.

This is nothing new, happens every single election. The vast majority of the electorate are completely ignorant of both politics and the government. I went to the 08 inauguration and asked these same questions (basically same responses), and I went to several post 09 tea party rallies and again, the same ignorant responses.

The only time I got well thought out and correct responses was when I went to pre 09 tea party rallies all of whom were Paul supporters. The issue with the Paul movement was that by nature of his views his supporters are seen as extreme fringe from both sides, so the deck is stacked against them. The other issue was that he also brought in the extreme lunatics (Incorruptible) who continuously post/speak drivel. They are the ones opponents spotlight so it is difficult to win the intellectual arguments on a national level. These individuals say they are Libertarian, or Paul supporters and when viewed objectively it couldn't be further from the truth.

As a Paul supporter I just wish folks would leave it alone, the movement has adapted and moved on. If he did anything it was to bring libertarian/Barry Goldwater ideals back into the national spotlight. At no time in our modern history (post WW2) have we had as many Liberty minded representitives in office across the country and it all falls on Pauls legacy. Paul introduced all of these arguments, and shaped the entire 2012 Republican debate.
