Obama is the new Reagan!

A great communicator, for sure!

We are definitely going to miss Obama.

What a shame that angry hate filled people desperate for others to feel their pain by grinding others into the dirt, had to get a President like Obama, filled with so much self poise and dignity. Filled with such a lust to hurt coupled with no success must be a terrible place to be. Aren't you glad we're not like that.

So despite the thick stone wall of obstruction the Repubs put up against Obama these past eight years, he got some good things done. Not that the Repubs in Congress will ever admit it, but there they are, and here the rest of us are, looking at these dimwits as the stubborn spoiled brats that they are, denying the whole nation good governance until they got what they wanted, of which I'll never know.

It's pretty hilarious that what they wanted was for Obama to be gone after his first term, and when that didn't happen, they doubled down on the spoiled brat routine, screamed out louder than ever, stamped their feet even harder than before and REALLY screwed themselves over. I guess they thought their plan didn't work because they weren't as spoiled and as stubborn as they needed to be.

As it is, I'm imagining that Obama, at this very moment is having stomach cramps from laughing his ass off at what the GOP did to itself.

I mean, it can't get any more ridiculously funny with Trump being their choice for POTUS, right?

What's even funnier is that they pissed Obama off so much with their antics that he's decided that after his term is over his sole purpose will be to have dems win redistricting rights. If he succeeds then it might be decades before the GOP wins a majority again at the federal level.

Good governance is when both ends of the political spectrum negotiate, with the only thing changing is who is negotiating from a position of power.

I don't know that I would want unobstructed Obama governance. I think the Republican wall forcing him to the center was a good thing.

However, once Obama moved to the center, the Republicans continued to obstruct what could have been an amazing opportunity for bipartisanship, Supreme Court nominations being a notable example. It is absurd that SCOTUS is deficient one justice due to obstructionism.
