Billary's chances of a presidential bid were reduced greatly today as Barack Obama won by 7 votes in the tiny U.S. territory in the Pacific.

Clinton issued a statement Saturday night promising, "I will continue to champion the issues facing the people of Guam, and when I'm president I will ensure that hard-working families of Guam have the resources and the opportunity to succeed." Obama's campaign had no immediate reaction to the results.

This witch will say anything to get elected. No doubt she's lying there considering she's said the same thing for almost every state, only to forget about them when she loses or the race goes on.

She's been very good to Iowa since leaving that state.

Isn't the delegate count from that territory proportional anyway? If so, the outcome here will not affect the whole Clinton/Obama horserace.

With 4 delegates it was never going to have much of an impact, but if you want to measure the effect then it is a loss for Clinton, who now has less delegates available to gain on Obama.

I started this thread in something of a lampoon of the overall election process. Hillary can't catch up, so she is therefore dependent upon super delegates to over rule the majority popular vote as well as pledged delegate counts in favor of Obama.

Out of 4500 Guam ballots cast, Obama won by a only 7 votes. They were up all night just counting the ballots. If anything its just shows how close the democratic race is. Most years the democrats would be thrilled by having just one candidate with their kind of appeal.

I for one am sick and tired of people calling Hillary a witch and others impugning Obama. The contests is still too close to call still, but if Obama wins big in North Carolina and wins Indiana also come this Tuesday, it may get to the point where Hillary must bow to reality. After May 6, Hillary math may start looking impossible as Obama becomes unstoppable.

When JFK went to bed on election evening in 1960, some of his advisers complained that Nixon should have already conceded. And JFK pointed out if he were in Nixon's shoes he would not have conceded either. And when Kennedy woke up next morning he was greeted with the words good Morning Mr. President elect.

I think the same words will greet Obama one day soon regarding the democratic nomination, but those words will come when his close rival concedes and not one day sooner.
Demanding it prematurely only incurs resentments.

Oops, I forgot. They have an open relationship. Bill gets to bang all of the women he wants and so does Hillary.

Wow, I assumed this was a parody thread until I clicked the link. (Guam gets delegates? Wow.)

Then I thought it was fake again when I saw the Clinton quote.

Clinton issued a statement Saturday night promising, "I will continue to champion the issues facing the people of Guam, and when I'm president I will ensure that hard-working families of Guam have the resources and the opportunity to succeed."

And now I'm just confused:
U.S. citizens on the island, however, have no vote in the November election.

They can vote in the primaries and they have seated delegates but they don't have any electors in the general election. That's why only 5000 voted out of 180k.

For a primary that will have almost no impact on the democratic nominating process, this thread is an almost total bust. And has now turning into just another bash Hillary thread
by Pabster and his pals.
