I had thought that he was smart and doing all of this on purpose. But now I'm wondering if I was wrong, and that he's just not smart enough to understand Austrian economics and that it's the only school of Economics that leads to good policy.

The scary thing is that Hillary Clinton's IQ is 140. I would've thought she was borderline mentally retarded if I hadn't read that.

We all know that someone with an IQ that high who advocates the policies she does hates America and is trying to destroy it.

Agreed - but think of the stimulus to the economy. All those exploding liberal heads means new keyboards, new mice, new monitors - at the least a hell of a lot more cleaning products.

The man would have a tiny point about Obama releasing his educational record - except that Obama himself doesn't seem to be pushing his educational record as evidence of qualification. That seems to be more his supporters looking for something beyond his ability to read a TelePrompter that would recommend him as presidential material. Personally I think all that stuff should be released during the campaign. Doesn't seem to be much point after the election though, as everyone can grade him on his job performance.

As far as "calculating" Obama's IQ, well, some people just shouldn't attempt mathematics.

I skimmed that article, it was so full of assumptions and projections that it was basically horseshit. To call it pseudoscience is vastly overstating its value.

In elementary school I tested out with a very high IQ. (The school asked me to take the test again, my parents refused unless they were given the results). Frankly I've always thought IQ ratings were not very significant-individual intellectual drive was far more important. I know lots of MENSA people who don't have basic common sense, and I know lots of tremendous acheivers who finished near the bottom of their class. John McCain is a famous example, and if I recall correctly Dwight Eisenhower as well. A high IQ without application and drive is like revving an engine in neutral.

Obama graduated from an elite high school, Columbia, Harvard Law and was the editor of the Harvard Law Review and was not a legacy student (ie, daddy's money got me in-see GWB). I have no qualms about his intellectual ability.

Hilary Clinton I agree is destroying what America is, as is Pelosi. The thing is IQ is very misleading, It really comes down to drive and luck - luck in the opportunities that you're presented with in life. Also early childhood/family life play a part.

Someone like Obama who's good at manipulating people has thing's easier. It's a good skill to have and a lot of it is genetics.

Palin isn't that dumb, but she's not used to interacting with people in the mainland U.S. and has strange social skills. It's like GWB the 2nd, horrible at speaking and was probably nervous as hell half the time. The problem is this makes people who see it distrustful, and no amount of IQ will adjust for that.

Article is totally BS. The bonus that colleges award to minorities when calculating their value score for admission is not a numerical value that is added to SAT but a numerical value that is added at the final stage of the calculation.

Although I don't care for Hilary Clinton myself, I fail to see how she is destroying America. She implements the Messiah's foreign policy, period, and his actual foreign policy - not including his random bowing, insulting allies, and toadying up to enemies, but his actual, substantial foreign policy - is pretty darned centrist and realistic.

The "analysis" in that article is nonsensical even on its face. They assume that, because President Obama was a minority member at Harvard (and thus could conceivably have been admitted with a lower LSAT score than a while male), he definitively HAD such a lower score, and thus that his presumptive IQ must accordingly be lowered.

They also don't provide any clear basis for presuming an LSAT-SAT score correlation (the tests are wildly different), which the article's entire premise rests on, nor any clear way of equating LSAT scores with IQ. (I'd like it if such a correlation existed, since I did very well on my LSAT, but I'm highly skeptical of whether there's any scientifically valid correlation). Moreover, they are assuming an intelligence for President Bush which again is not based on any actual testing but rather a series of inferences that are almost certainly as flawed as the ones they use to reach their speculative conclusion regarding President Obama.

At the end of the day, the President was the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Law Review and graduated cum laude. Those are not accomplishments that could have been based on affirmative action, since tests are graded anonymously, as are the writing samples that candidates have to submit to join a law review. Both of these are fairly remarkable accomplishments (particularly his Law Review work), and there's simply no way an average intellect could have achieved either.
